My trip to Zihuatanejo was quite the experience, but I've had my sights set on Morocco for a long time now. The country has always held this mysterious appeal, as if anything associated with it is beyond interesting and cultured. And those Moroccan tiles?!

Let's wisk away to another mystic land that starts with an M and ends with an O. I have yet to experience a rockin' Moroccan adventure but it is definitely on my list. When I see images of those colorful graphic tiles that grace many a hallway I yearn for a bazaar voyage.

Roberto Cavalli's Fall ad campaign is a scene we're all too familiar with: paparazzi shots inside nightclubs. Models Isabeli Fontana (a Cavalli favorite; she was in this Fall '09 campaign, too) and Karen Elson reenact today's celeb craze inside the El Morocco nightclub in NYC. Photographer Steven Meisel, whose first time it was working with the designer, was there document the chaos.

Put together sensual Sasha Pivovarova and Morocco and you have pure ecstasy. For Vogue Italia's May issue, Steven Meisel snapped Sasha looking like a Moroccan marvel in traditional yet stylish garb from the North African country — all, of course, with a fashion flair. Baggy harem pants ruled, as did vibrant pops of orange, raspberry, and red.

I'm not considered a lady who lunches, but I did recently attend a luncheon hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue for queen of exotic baubles, Temple St. Clair. It was in honor of her two-year-in-the-making book Alchemy: A Passion For Jewels ($36).

Last week the fashion world mourned the loss of a fashion legend. Here at Fab we did our own tributes and excursions to honor the man who founded the house of Yves Saint Laurent.
His funeral commenced on Thursday and his ashes will live in Morocco — YSL's favorite relaxation spot.

Bohemian girl Frederique Trou-Roy was between jobs, so she decided to wander around Morocco (good choice!). While there, she scoured the street workshops, hunted for old scarves, and had the local craftsmen make leather shopping bags with metal detailing and sequin-embroidered wicker baskets for her. From the escapade, her Parisian label Manoush was born, a melange of gypsy influences and wearable clothes.

Calypso-Celle.com is one of the prettiest boutique sites. It's run by Christiane Celle, who spent nearly a decade as a stylist in New York City. Now, she's occupied with her 36 boutiques, which stock her own designs as well as pieces collected on trips to India, Morocco...all over!
