Oh mommy dearest - I once shunned your fashion advice, but now I regularly seek it. As a young lassie, I assumed you knew little about style, but now I realize I learned much of what I know from you. If my endless shopping excursions with mom have helped my personal style and wardrobe, imagine what the splurge-fests for the daughters of Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld (Editor of Vogue Paris), Danielle Steel, and Demi Moore have done for them! It's obvious Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Bee Shaffer (Anna's daughter), Rumer Willis, and the Traina sisters (Danielle's kids) have oodles of expensive closets to choose from . . . but it all comes down to personal style. For me, Carine and Julia stand out because of their effortlessly cool Euro vibe. Who is the best dressed mother/daughter combo to you?

Jessica Alba took Honor to a mall in Beverly Hills this afternoon to visit Santa Claus. Jessica joined in on the fun and sat next to Santa with Honor on her lap as they posed for a picture. It was a festive outing for the mother-daughter duo, who are back together in LA after Jessica's quick trip out of town yesterday. She spent 24 hours on the East Coast, where she supported Baby2Baby in New Jersey and shopped with a friend in NYC. Sarah Michelle Gellar carried her adorable daughter, Charlotte, yesterday in LA. The mother-daughter duo ran errands together and swung by a few shops, looking too cute in their matching sunglasses! It was a family afternoon for Sarah during a break from work on her show Ringer. To promote the program, Sarah posed on the December 2011 cover of Self. She spoke with a writer from the magazine about her weight-loss philosophy. Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't own a scale, she said. SMG commented, "You can't live your life by the scale. We don't even have one in our house. I've never believed in them, because your weight fluctuates. It's more about how my clothing fits than a number. Besides, if you deny yourself everything because you're so focused on the mirror or the scale, then when do you get to enjoy life?"

The mother-daughter duo were out and about together after Jennifer picked up a coffee in Brentwood this morning solo. She had the company of her husband Ben Affleck for a lunch date yesterday, and the couple stayed close during their outing. Jennifer and Ben showed PDA while Ben was on a break from filming Argo. He's working on his latest project while Jennifer preps for the arrival of their third child. She's just one of many pregnant celebrities in Hollywood including Beyoncé Knowles, Keri Russell, and more.

Victoria and Harper Beckham are in London this week, and yesterday the mother-daughter duo were seen leaving the offices of 17 Management. They took off from LAX last Sunday, so that Victoria could tend to some work in her native England. Posh has had enough free time to share some thoughts on Twitter. Victoria posted a food tip, writing "Healthy snack! Real, fruit sorbet: freeze single, red grapes, put in small zip lock bags, eat fresh from the freezer!" She also showed support for Stila and the Breakthrough organization's breast cancer fundraising and posted a picture of her new sparkly Miu Miu shoes. David Beckham, meanwhile, remained in California with their three sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz. The dad of four kicked off his afternoon with soccer practice for LA Galaxy, then threw on a pair of rolled-up jeans to watch Romeo and Cruz kick the ball around with their own teammates.

Super stylist Rachel Zoe was decked out in black to pose before the exclusive meal. It was Katie's latest outing with the brand after attending many of its shows over the years. Katie Holmes's wedding dress was even Armani! There were plenty of men represented, too: Adam Brody dressed up for the event as did Josh Hartnett, Aaron Eckhart, newly single James Marsden, and Darren Criss. It was a date night for Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham as well as J. Edgar star Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers. Emma attended after a long day on the set of The Gangster Squard with her two-time costar Ryan Gosling - the duo also acted together in Crazy Stupid Love. Katie Holmes, meanwhile, has been hanging out on the West Coast and shopping with her daughter, Suri Cruise, following their weekend visit to Tom Cruise on the Pittsburgh production site of One Shot. The debut of Katie's next acting gig is coming up, too, when the Halloween episode of How I Met You Mother, in which she plays the infamous "slutty pumpkin," finally airs.

Katie treated Suri to ice cream at the Milk Shake Factory following their educational trip. The mother-daughter duo are exploring Pennsylvania while Tom Cruise is currently filming his latest action, adventure project One Shot in the city. Last week Katie and Suri hung around LA while Tom Cruise debuted a hot new haircut on set. Katie has her own upcoming project headed to theaters this holiday season. She's sharing the big screen with Adam Sandler in his latest slapstick comedy Jack and Jill opening nationwide Nov. 11.
