Facebook may have taken centerstage in social networking, but that doesn't mean MySpace is off the map. In fact, MySpace Fashion is definitely in the know and has started rolling out new programs and content features for all fashion fiends.

Daily features educate about today's most influential designers, offer exclusive discounts, and dish about beauty secrets. "Behind the Seams," for example, features boutique owners, designers, and stylists and reports on what fashion means to them. Go on, get hooked.

Like the latest Calvin Klein Jeans ads, C'N'C Costume National's Fall 2008 campaign features non-celebrities. Only, you probably won't recognize these models because they were recruited from MySpace. Designer Ennio Capasa picked 12 models for their individuality and diversity.

"Social networking is one of the most interesting phenomena today on the Internet," Capasa said. "It represents the great change and dynamism of a society that is increasingly a compulsive consumer of communication and contacts. What do you think? Are these ads appealing?

Fab Face: Kendra Spears

Oh to be dubbed "Little Cindy," (i.e. Cindy Crawford). Thanks to the perfectly placed mole on her upper lip and her gorgeous looks, 21-year-old model Kendra Spears was given that nickname by her family when she was young. And so, the Seattle-born Spears was destined to become a model. She was discovered by Ford on MySpace, then became a finalist in the agency's Supermodel of the World competition. She is currently one of the faces of Prada's Fall ad campaign and can be seen on many a catwalk when she's not working towards her BA in sociology from the University of Washington. Beauty and brains? Sounds just like Cindy!

Fab Face: Sean O'Pry

Meet Sean O'Pry. Oh, boy. Not only does he have an inhumanly stunning face, he has been named The World's Most Successful Male Model by Forbes Magazine. And, he's just 19. In 2006, his MySpace photo caught the attention of Lana Winters, owner VNY Models, who phoned Sean's mother to get her permission to fly him to NYC. It took only three days before he landed a major ad campaign. "He came here with a little suitcase, not knowing what to expect and basically became a star overnight," says Winters. "I've been in this business for a very, very long time and I've never seen anybody get such a response," she said. I can see why.

On Our Radar: Refinery29 To Document Pre-Fashion Week Madness

"Five designers. Five studios. One feverish race to fashion week." That's reportedly the tag line for an ad for Refinery29's latest project, "The Countdown," which will take a behind-the-scenes look at five young designers as they prepare for New York Fashion Week next month. Beginning on Wednesday, the series will be a fly on the wall for designers Alexander Wang (pictured), Jeremy Laing, Vena Cava, Rag & Bone and Karen Walker. It will air through September 5, ending with a final episode to be showcased at the finale of Fashion Week.

Make no mistake: this process is going to be anything but a walk in the park for the participating designers. "Because they're independent, they don't have the same resources" as more established designers, Philippe von Borries, creative director for Refinery29, said. "They're producing the best show they can on a shoestring."

You can see similar hardships in "The Countdown," which will be shown on Refinery29, as well as on MySpace, which is currently trying to build up its fashion portal. And if we're lucky, this could potentially become a regular channel for fashion lovers to follow. Stay tuned...
