Perfect timing. After this Summer, I decided I need a new one piece. Though I am a skimpy bikini girl at heart, there are times when a one piece is in order. Be it a swanky pool party or chillin' poolside with the fam, the return of the one piece is upon us. Brian Reyes sent out delicate seersuckers, Derek Lam posh loungers, even sexy fashion beast Herve Leger turned down the volume with a printed baby-blue laser-cut suit. If anyone can prove one pieces can be equally as sexy as two, it's Michael Kors and his clear plastic cut-out noir creation. If only I could have that model's chiseled cheekbones, too . . .

Before you start judging, let me point out the way DKNY wore them: higher, subtle, colorful styles paired unexpectantly under tailored shorts and sleek jumpers. If anyone can lift American spirits, it's Ralph Lauren. On the last (rainy) day of NYFW, his Depression era-inspired collection did, in fact, leave us on a positive note. Blues in all hues, denim, country florals, navy pinstripes, white cotton, and a couple drop-dead gowns were intensely pretty. And those glittering silver shoes - so fresh against tattered railroad denim. In his notes Lauren said, "I am inspired by the character of the workers, the farmer, the cowboy, the pioneer women of the prairies living authentically through challenging times." History repeats itself; fashion to the rescue.

Hungarian model Eniko Mihalik is one to watch. She's currently strutting the New York Fashion Week catwalks like a pro, and she has even made it into the 2010 Pirelli calendar, which is no easy feat. If you don't yet know the 22-year-old, Fashion Week is a good place to start because she's made it into some major shows like Rodarte, Carolina Herrera, and Jason Wu. But her shining moment, in my humble opinion, is this look from Carlos Miele - now that's how to do high-fashion cleavage!

Actually 12, if you count the fabulous felt hats and ribbons woven through Heidi braids on the models' heads. Oscar served up one of the most gorgeous collections of the week - he always does. At the same time, the elegant venue and slower pace helped me sit back, relax, and enjoy the throes of fashion. Safari looks gave way to youthful tweed, party frocks, and elegant Spanish Chantilly lace gowns. Oscar's colors are always rich; melon, teal, hyacinth, and peridot mixed with white, blush, and black. Beading and embroidery twinkled every fancy. Jewelry, shoes, belts, and sunglasses were smashing - they elevated the glamour factor. This youthful look makes me smile - wouldn't it be divine on Blair Waldorf?
