Josh Hutcherson Tells Us His Favorite Hunger Games Scene and Catches Up With Costars at His Cover Party

Josh Hutcherson was joined by several of his costars from The Hunger Games last night at a dinner to toast his new Nylon Guys cover in LA. We caught up with Josh inside the soiree to talk about being a part of one of this year's most hotly anticipated movie events and why he felt an immediate connection to his character, Peeta Mellark. He also shared a little about his favorite scene in the close-to-finished cut of the film he recently watched, and told us about the moment on set that brought Jennifer Lawrence to tears. Here are some highlights:

PopSugar: Have you guys gotten to see the final cut of The Hunger Games?
Josh: Not final cut, but a very close to final cut, yeah.
PS: What was the coolest moment or scene for you [to watch]?
Josh: For me, honestly, my favorite scene is when it's, like, the day before the games and Katniss and Peeta have that conversation. And that, for me, I thought was a really cool spot in the relationship because you kind of see the tenderness between them a little bit. So that meant a lot to me.
PS: I started reading the book and I actually pictured you as Gale before I knew who was playing who. I'm curious, did you read for any other part?
Josh: Really? I mean, for me I had an immediate connection with Peeta. I felt like I was Peeta in so many ways, it kind of blew my mind a little bit. To the point when I actually walked into the room to audition, and [author] Suzanne Collins and [director] Gary Ross were there, I said to them - I've never said this before in any audition and I'll never say it again because it sounds disgusting - but I am so much like Peeta! Reading it, I was almost like, 'How did Suzanne Collins write a movie about my [kind of] person?' It kind of blew my mind.

Freida Pinto, Josh Hutcherson, and More Hunger Games Stars Toast 13 Years of Nylon

Josh Hutcherson and Freida Pinto were among the celebs - and past and present Nylon cover stars - who turned out to celebrate the magazine's 13th anniversary last night in LA. The celebration was held at Smashbox Studios in Hollywood. Freida arrived in a Prada dress before settling into the VIP section with her friends and her talent agent. Josh, sporting a fedora and sunglasses despite the late hour, arrived with a friend a while after, and was one of several actors from The Hunger Games at the bash. Dayo Okeniyi, Jacqueline Emerson, and Alexander Ludwig were also at the soiree, and the costars stopped to pose for several photos together during the festivities. The Hunger Games' stars are still riding high on their movie's continued streak of success at the box office. Last weekend, it even beat out the 3D relaunch of Titanic both here and in the UK to take the number-one spot.

Kate Bosworth Bares Her Bellybutton For New Nylon Cover

Kate Bosworth graces the March edition of Nylon in short shorts and a midriff-baring top. The actress, who is famous for both her style and her film career, has been jetting from one Fashion Week to the next recently. She was at Calvin Klein's show in NYC and joined her BFF and Baby costar Rachel Bilson in the front row at Burberry in London yesterday. Kate talked about bringing her chic sensibilities to her new career as a designer with JewelMint, her upcoming film Another Happy Day, and what she'd do if acting weren't an option. Here are highlights from her interview, and check out Nylon for more pictures:

On why she launched JewelMint: "I wanted to make everything $30. There's nothing in that price range, really. You can go to, like, Claire's and get something for $5, and the next level up is over $100. This is a middle range of really cute, really fun accessories. All my friends love a bargain, whether or not they can also shop at expensive stores . . . Sienna Miller's one of my best friends and we always go bargain hunting!"
On her latest leading man: "I'm obsessed with Ezra Miller. He's such a fantastic actor and I'm really honored, honestly, that we got to work together. He's gonna be a big deal."
On what other profession she'd consider: "I don't think I could be anything but an actress but if I were, I'd be a psychiatrist. I think people are so interesting and I think their issues are so much a part of what make people who they are. I know I have my issues, for sure!"

Nina Dobrev Channels Her Inner Vegas Cowgirl For Nylon

Nina Dobrev wore an embellished jacket from McQ for her February 2012 Nylon cover. The Vampire Diaries star also modeled looks from Acne, Jeremy Scott, and Ralph Lauren inside the magazine and worked with her stylist Riawna Capri to create a "vintage Vegas cowgirl" vibe. Nina's quickly becoming a favorite for designers to dress, and for her appearance at the People's Choice Awards earlier this month, she chose a green Elie Saab. The dress was not only beautiful, but apparently comfortable too. Nina was still wearing it when she caught a flight back to Atlanta with boyfriend Ian Somerhalder after the show.

Rachel Bilson Mixes Up Her Look and Talks Homebody Habits For Nylon

Rachel Bilson layered up for the cover of Nylon's November America issue. Rachel is known as well for her style as she is for her acting work, and the actress opened up about her fashion sense - and even shared the contents of her Chloe purse! - in the magazine. Rachel's currently starring in the CW series Hart of Dixie, but when she's not working, she admits to being quite the homebody. Here's more from Rachel Bilson in Nylon:

On the contents of her huge Chloe bag: "I feel like Mary Poppins! Look at this, I have a bra in here! All right, let's see what else is here: makeup remover, Advil, nail accessories. . . . Oh! I have socks and a pen in here, too! My wallet, sunglasses, my call sheet, checkbook. . . . I have some Mexican jumping beans! You never know when you may need them!"
On being a homebody: "I'm all about Netflix and ordering Teen Mom on iTunes. I go to bed at nine! I'm not as interested in going out and partying at night anymore; I'm more set in my ways. I know I sound like an 80-year-old."
On her fashion sense as a child: "I always had to dress myself, which is very interesting when you're two. My poor mom. There was this one dress, it was my favorite - it was really colorful and big and ridiculous. I wore it until it fell apart. I was a very bossy fashionista when I was three. I feel like if I ever have a daughter, there is going to be some sweet revenge placed on me because of how I was as a kid."

Designer We Love: Sophie Monet

Sophie Monet has been making a strong statement with her line of sculptural wood-based jewelry, and we're smitten with the simple, yet incredibly striking results. The clean, geometric lines are a breath of fresh air from layered chains and embellishments, while the combination of elements ranges from the intriguingly earthy-think turquoise, crystals, and unfinished gemstones-to the decidedly modern: sleek shapes with a gilded touch. Her line is growing; you can now buy it at Fred Segal and Planet Blue, as well as her website. We had a one-on-one with the 24 year-old designer, and got the scoop on her budding line.

FabSugar: How did your jewelry line begin?
Sophie Monet: I started experimenting with wood almost 3 years ago. It was my first summer out of college and after interning for Alexander Wang and Nylon Magazine I was kinda like “Now what?" I made one ring, a few necklaces and a line sheet, then all of sudden I was in Fred Segal and Planet Blue. It’s all fun for me. I get to make art all day, get dirty and end up with an awesome-looking end result.

FS: What made you start with woodmaking?
SM: I’ve always loved making things with my hands. I really just started using wood out of convenience. I grew up around it, playing in my dad’s art studio, gluing scrap pieces together.

FS: What was your breakthrough moment?
SM: Probably when I saw my double finger rings in Women’s Wear Daily. I was excited to tell everyone. Doing interviews like this is just amazing and makes me feel so lucky.
