Every season I say, "This is the season I will buy something Missoni." So I'm sayin' it again. Missoni fused earth-loving colors like grass green, yellow, camel, and burnt sienna, and sometimes black, with crisp separates and flowing dresses.

Belts have been a key accessory the past year. It's clear why: a belt defines a waist, creates contrast, and encapsulates the female form. Even though we saw a belt in nearly every scene in the Sex and the City movie, for Spring, belts have loosened up and taken notes from martial arts.

I just had to feature this Look: penthesileia looks like she's straight out of a fashion magazine with her Vogue look. Love the lighting, the dress flatters her, and I especially like that she made her own obi belt for a special personal touch.
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Charlie Brown
- Belt: DIY
- Shoes: Carvela
- Earrings: Accessorize
Congrats to penthesileia!

Kerry Washington looked spectacular yesterday at Essence magazine's luncheon in Beverly Hills. Always one to try new things, Kerry wore a smashing feathered skirt and blazer by Louis Vuitton. Feathery skirts can add a little volume so it was smart to cinch in her waistline with an eye-popping metallic obi belt.

Not only was Marc inspired by early Americana — he masterminded the colors, fabrics, jewels and accessories. For Marc's re(marc)able Spring, there were also goofy shoes, mismatched prints, Stephen Jones-designed boater hats, obi belts, and wackadoodle bags. There was also an elegant vaudeville feel, and are those shoulder pads I see?

For us red carpet junkies, ahem, Marchesa is always a pleasure. The gorgeous herself Georgina Chapman churned out an opulent collection of both party frocks and dramatic gowns. With sometime Indian undertones via gold embellishments and embroidery, opulent frills, dramatic ruffles and origami folds provided glorious eye candy.

Last week we planned a raid on Christina's shoe collection and marveled at her incorporation of Fall's hottest color. Today we will focus on another trend she is helping to define: The wide belt worn at the natural waist.
Paired with a pencil skirt and some killer heels or with a tunic sweater dress and leggings, this is a style that we are sure to see lots more of this Fall!
