You loved Rachel Weisz in emerald green dip-dyed Valentino; how about Evangeline Lily in a turquoise version? At the Looking For Eric premiere, "Freckles" and new L'Oréal lady opted for a cool crisscross bodice and high slit, but it's the bright-to-dark turquoise hue I adore. With the high neck, pulling her hair back in a slick pony was totally a good call. Thoughts?

Fab Finger Discount: Indah Mosaic Minidress

I just bought a pair of suede coral sandals, and they're just waiting for me to pair them with an awesome frock. Such a jovial color needs an equally fine friend, so I'm thinking about putting them together with this Indah Mosaic Minidress ($35, originally $170). Hey, any excuse to go shopping, right? I love that the fringe is flashy but not over-the-top. But, in this economy, who wants to dish out $400 for a top? Not I.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this Shimmy Fringe Tank Top ($30). Now that price is more like it. The tank still has the ombre fringe element, but these fringes are layered and shorter. No matter, it can still take center stage in your outfit. Black stovepipes, funky booties, and you're good to rock 'n go.

Found! Jenny McCarthy's Blue Ombre Maxi Dress

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey enjoyed time on the beach on the 4th of July, and while Jim looked pretty good in his woman's bathing suit, she was hotter in her Scoop Beach Smocked Dress ($365). It comes with a rope belt but Jenny opted to remove it for the beach. Unlike many other ombre maxis, this one is silk so it's wearable in dressy situations. I told you dip-dyed maxis were all the rage.

Screen Actors Guild Awards: Angelina Jolie

If Angelina Jolie wanted to elicit more pregnancy rumors, then she selected the perfect dress to do it in. Though I like the sweetheart neckline and the ombre effect of this vintage Hermes gown, the silhouette is way too loose. If it were a bit more tailored I would have loved it. What's your take?

Trend Alert: Ombre

Ombre is beginning to rear its pretty head and while it feels very warm-weathery, I'm already seeking a new ombre addition. I'm still on the fence though - some of these items are dope, while some of them are dull. Here's the dilemma: It's a trendy motif, but only looks good on fine fabrics. Case in point: ombred fur at J. Mendel's Spring '08 show (pictured). Thus, one should seek out an ombre that looks expensive but doesn't break the bank. Ah, the trials and tribulations of fashion . . .
