This one's for you FitSugar! A certain colored handbag jumped out at me in this week's Life & Style best-selling handbags spread. Not too long ago I did a post about the best-selling shoes right now. It is interesting that three out of the eleven bags pictured have an orange hue to them - not to mention Jennifer Lopez' outfit. So while attack of the silver handbags is under way, orange bags are incoming. If orange is too overpowering for you, bring this chipper color in with an accessory, and you can never have too many bags...

Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, and with a star-studded front row who sat upon fur-covered seats, Mulberry's Fall 2012 runway show was a fabulously furry foray into fashion. Fur took center stage via fuzzy vests cinched at the waists and even cozy dresses, with nomadic knits and psychedelic prints making delightful sartorial cameos as well. But as every Alexa-loving fashionable fille knows, Mulberry shines in its handbag department, and this season bright orange totes and ikat satchels stole our hearts and arms.

Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2012

Narciso Rodriguez stuck with his signature structured silhouettes for Fall '12, and this time, he built out the form-fitted figure into silky crepe dresses, colorblocked in geometric patterns of rusted brick reds, tangerine oranges, and chartreuse greens. In addition to the more "billowy" looks, he also sent out bustier-inspired, nipped-waist versions that accentuated the body in artfully draped folds of fabric. For a mix of sophisticated sheaths and polished daytime looks, Narciso included tailored trousers, luxe leather gloves, graphic-print tops, and a handful of covetable oversized trapeze and bell-shaped wool and felt coats. As for accessories, the designer impressed with his first-ever line of shoes and handbags - we were especially taken with the two-tone pointy-toe boots making turns on the catwalk. In a nutshell? The clean, chic designs juxtaposed against rich Fall colors let Narciso's impeccable cuts and shapes shine through; for more details, read below.

Trends: Silky structured dresses, long bias-cut dress trains, and oversized trapeze and bell-shaped coats.

Victoria Beckham, one of our favorite style mavens - and super-chic mama - showed a gorgeous, glossy Spring 2012 collection, mixing sleek, fitted silhouettes with roomier, more free-form shapes. Beckham showcased the kinds of body-conscious sheaths we might see her wearing, in bold navy and orange colorblocking, then surprised with newer, looser shapes in shiny satin finishes on jackets and sportier styled parkas in dreamy lavender and gray hues. Present throughout the collection is a heavy dose of leather - layered under dresses in creamy white and black, on newsboy caps, and cutout, ankle-wrap sandals and pumps. Sporty elements make an appearance in the form of zippered details, drawstrings, and halter necklines done in thicker harness-style straps. It's a blend of the sexy and the streamlined, appealing both to the minimalists and the statement-makers. The collection manages to walk that line between being modern, feminine, and wearable all at once. It offers the new without compromising Beckham's eye for the impeccably tailored, the undeniably cool.

We count on Rebecca Taylor to deliver femininity in the coolest way possible; for Spring 2012 she did exactly that. Injecting doses of whimsy, like sequined details on slouchy silhouettes that meld both our girlier impulses with our desire to appear effortlessly dressed. The girls hit the runway first in a sequence of brights - all shine, florals, and sky-blue splashes of watercolor print on flowy dresses and little skirts; then, she met the easy and breezy sentiments with moodier tones - midnight blues, blacks, and darker metallics. 2011 Autumn London Fashion Week: Burberry Prorsum

Last season, a few editors dared to criticise Christopher Bailey for using a tried and tested method, but that could not be said of this season. Outerwear took centre stage as usual with bright coloured wool coats opening the show, all teamed with animal print flat caps. The collection gradually introduced check with '60s-inspired peacoats teamed with skintight trousers with a kick flare. Bailey was obviously influenced by the wintry weather we've been experiencing as there were heavy fur coats. The finale even took place under light snowfall as the models covered up in cute, clear rain macs.

There seemed to be more focus on bags than ever with large bowling totes and small patent clutches being the main focus. There definitely wasn't the same "must have" appeal of previous seasons (the aviator, the biker, etc.), but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Christopher Bailey can sleep soundly tonight with another triumph under his belt!

Trends: Heritage, '60s, fur, animal print.
Colours: Blue, orange, green, black, white, brown, purple.
Accessories: Large handbags with tassels, patent clutch, wedge heels.
Key look: Olive green wool coat.
Who would wear this: Anybody who likes classics with a twist.

Transport Studio Returns Today With Another Art Sale!

Back in November, New Orleans artists Amanda Stone Talley and Hayley Gaberlavage launched a flash sale art marketplace, Transport Studio, as a forum for new and established collectors to offer a three-day discount on their fine art pieces. The first sale was such a success that Transport is kicking off another limited-time event, running today through Sunday, Feb. 13!

As they hoped, Transport is expanding by welcoming fellow artist friends to the studio and continuing to offer great discounts to collectors. This go-round, jeweler Gogo Borgerding, and interior designer Gerrie Bremermann join the troop with sterling silver cuff bracelets and stellar antique light fixtures, respectively.One of my favorite pieces in the collection is Grumpy Greta by Hayley Gaberlavage ($1,750, reduced from $2,500), which features an inquisitive, elderly woman who's a dead ringer for many a snoopy neighbor I've known in my day. I love the grassy greens, lilac-tinted pinks, and sky blues, as well as Greta's oversize "housecoat" and her sweet '50s-style handbag.

Meanwhile, I'm also lusting after Untitled by Amanda Stone Talley ($1,610, reduced from $2,300). The bright, abstract painting evokes dripping orange Creamsicles and sweetly scented lavender on a hot Summer day. What could be better than that? Only a fab art sale, I suppose.
