The Look For Less: Yves Saint Laurent Pointed Toe Loafer Pumps

I wasn't sure if the whole loafer trend was right for me, but I recently snagged a great deal on a pair at a thrift store. They're a beautiful camel color and surprisingly comfortable. Now, I have my eyes on these Yves Saint Laurent Loafer Pumps ($440). The sharp pointed toe gives them a sexy edge and the hidden platform front will keep my toes comfy all day long. Only problem with these babies is their price tag.

These Urban Outfitters Pour La Victoire Loafer Heels ($188) have the same stellar pointed toe and are much more reasonably priced. They don't come in black, but the brown would look nice with my earth-toned ensembles.

All The Hills girls were in attendance for Lauren Conrad's runway debut at LA Fashion Week - and I was there, too! I was sitting across the way from Audrina, Lo, and the gang, so I got a good look at how Fab Whitney's cut-out heels were - no surprise, since her wardrobe is your favorite from The Hills. Turns out they were Opening Ceremony Cut-Out Oxford Pumps ($335), a little pricey but a lot of chic.

The Look for Less: Derek Lam Federica Leather Platform

If you're going for a stylish but unconventional look, an open-toed oxford-style slingback like this Derek Lam Federica Leather Platform ($375, originally $750) is definitely a Fab option. Unfortunately, its score on the wallet-friendly scale isn't so high, so I found a shoe that has the same great design without the high price.

The open toe, lace-up front, slingback heel: they're all there. But that weighty price tag? Nonexistent. These Nine West Heathers Heels ($89) have all the goods, with an added bonus of a Springy yellow color. I don't know about you, but that brings a little sunshine to my day . . .

I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf

In last night's episode, prior to the drama with the photo shoot, Blair and Serena went on a mini shopping spree. Well, not so mini considering the shopping bags they're toting. Serena chose to go casual in her grey skinny Wrangler jeans, BCBG denim vest and Gucci Indy bag. As usual, Blair was dressed up in a Milly dress, black tights and oxford pumps.

This is one of my favorite Blair looks so far because she looks polished and a tad androgynous. Though sometimes she overdoes it with the tights, they go really well with this outfit. If you'd like to go shopping and look this chic, get her look below.

This Week's Fab Favorite: Reese Witherspoon

Reese is no stranger to Fab, not in the least. We're going to see more of her in the next week while she promotes her new movie with Vince Vaughn, Four Christmases - I can't wait. To see her outfits I mean, not the movie. She played nothing safe starting the promo train in a fabulous navy Nina Ricci dress. We all know she and designer Oliver Theyskens collaborate and it's been a success for both of them thus far. But what I love most about this look is that while the gold embellished dress is fantastic, she didn't stop there. She piled on a gilded necklace, a cocktail ring, and earrings. Who said less is more?

Her hair and makeup were well thought out, accentuating her best features (those baby blues). She carried an exotic clutch, bringing home the holiday-esque look. But you'll never believe this: See her cute little lace-up shooties? They are Banana Republic's Shiri' satin oxford pump ($90, originally $150). I kid you not. From her head to her feet, Reese does us proud.

Celebrity Style: Maria Sharapova

Most of you didn't approve of Maria Sharapova's one-sleeve Lanvin dress, but I think you'll like this mandarin-tiered Stella McCartney number she wore to a recent event. It reveals her gorgeous legs but in a tasteful manner. I like how instead of wearing peep-toe pumps, like many celebs do on the red carpet, she chose unexpected black patent oxford pumps. A textured minaudiere and gold jewels finish off the look perfectly.

It's about that time ladies. It's about that time to start thinking of transitional outfits. For many, August is a blistering hot month, but if you're anything like me, you've got your eye on some cooler temperature garb already. Now I know I said I was on a shopping freeze, but here are some items I thought would be great transitioners, and a couple are just awesome deals I had to share!

If you haven't already hit up the Nordstrom Anniversary sale you're missing out. Fall goods, like this French Connection 'Mystify Me' Satin Shift Mini Dress, on sale for $100 (originally $158), are already marked down. I am a purple people eater (you know what I mean) and I thought I'd give sheen a try with this sweet dress - and how perfect would it look with some textured tights and these...
Circa Joan & David 'Sage' Oxford Pumps, on sale for $85 (originally $129)? Oxfords are all the rage and I like how these are grey and not black; they're more moody rather than preppy.
I am so over skinny jeans! I know I've been preaching wide legged jeans for months now, and I dig the texture and perfect cut of these Joe's Jeans Muse Wide Leg Jeans, $159.
I'm beginning to think a gal can't have too many scarves. They add a dash of color and a bit of cuddle and this Buffalo Plaid Scarf, $20, has FIT alum written all over it.
Last but certainly not least, a new buttery handbag to lift me into back-to-school mode. Nothing says I'm ready to hit the books and show off my Fab fashion sense like a Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Shopper, $468, in a drop-red color.
