Rebecca Minkoff Expands Her Empire

There's more reason to love cutie Rebecca Minkoff now that she's adding a capsule clothing collection and accessories line to her repertoire. Rebecca also updated her website to include Minkette.com, a place where she shares a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her inspiration, exclusive video footage, insider tips on some of her favorite spots, and invites to cool parties around town. Rebecca's small accessories line, available this holiday, will include belts and bracelets. Her capsule collection will debut in Fall '10. Future brides can look forward to an affordable (ranging between $195-215) customized bridal bag collection called I Do in September. Save the Date! Marc and Lorenzo's Wedding

It usually takes a while before couples announce a wedding date, but not Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone. Just a little over a month into their engagement, the two lovebirds set a wedding date. You got to keep the momentum going, right? At a recent party in NYC, Lorenzo dished on the couple's wedding location: Provincetown, MA, one of their favorite vacation spots. "Yes, [the wedding will happen] in the summer - in June, even before summer!" said Martone. "And then [we'll have] a party in December in St. Barths." We'll keep our eyes peeled for an invitation in the mail!

Gossip Girl Fashion Quiz: "Remains of the J"

It was a wintry mix on Gossip Girl this week. Serena goes a little agro planning Jenny's sweet 16 birthday party, landing in Spain for a week (luck out). Jenny insists she wants something low profile and ends up rebelling and inviting actual teenagers to her party - what a concept. A shopping trip to Missoni is a nice treat. Meanwhile, after being newly broken up with, Vanessa takes a naughty turn finding solace in Chuck (!). Just as well, because Blair and Nate are playing kissy face again. Good stuff, but were you watching for the fashion details?

Word of advice: If ever invited to a Target party in NYC, go! I was super stoked to go to the McQ Alexander McQueen for Target launch party Friday night. It had everything; McQ/Target duds for sale, bubbly, a live performance by The Duke Spirit, and the gals from The City. People watching and art in every crevice. Flip through and check it out. Oh, and this is me and my buddies partaking in the Target fun.

Fab Flash: Marc Jacobs Cuts Back Big Time

No one is safe from the recession; not even Marc Jacobs. If canceling his legendary holiday party and Fashion Week party weren't enough, the fashion house has announced it will be slashing its coveted Fall fashion show guest list from 2,000 to a mere 700. “This isn’t the time to spend the money to entertain the entire world,” said president of Marc Jacobs International, Robert Duffy.

The show will be held at the same venue in past years - the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue. “Everybody thinks it costs the same money to entertain 500 people as opposed to 2,000 [when you’ve got the space]. It doesn’t. All those 2,000 people still need to be seated, they still need to check in, this one needs this, that one needs that, and you know what? It’s very costly,” said Duffy. I was lucky to receive an invite last September and crossing my fingers for another one this year . . .

I've hit the ground running at New York Fashion Week. While during the day I'm running back and forth to shows, at night I'm invited to some swanky parties. I asked you girls to help me put together one of the best outfits yet. I said I want to dress to impress and am willing to sacrifice comfort to do it. To say it's been a crazy few weeks would be an understatement. Between Black Friday, buying holiday gifts, returning the ones I don't want, and partying on New Year's, it's been extremely tiring. I need a day to kick back, relax. I told you I'm staying in and inviting some close girlfriends for tea and cookies. I wanted to be as comfortable as possible without looking schlumpy.
