Fabworthy: Rebecca Minkoff Virginia Computer Sleeve

I've been on the lookout for a laptop sleeve. I keep discovering new scratches on my Mac and it's time I took good care of it. My search ends today, thanks to this Rebecca Minkoff Virginia Computer Sleeve ($98), which also comes in black and bright orange. I used to think it was impossible to find a highly fashionable computer sleeve that's also functional, but this one is as non-geeky as they get. The patent leather is slick, the bright pink is super fun. Plus, the price isn't half bad either. To get more for my money, I think I'll carry it as an oversize clutch on the weekends.

Every once in a while, I like to wear an in-your-face statement bag. The thing is, I have issues with buying such a trendy piece for so much moola. For instance, I love this bright Elisa Atheniense Patent Blue Handbag ($795) but the price is far from desirable.

This Xhilaration Large Patent Hobo ($23) has the same amazing color and patent finish. It also comes in yellow, pink, and white. At that price, I can splurge on another color without feeling guilty - love Target!

Besides the irresistible shoe boots, Chloe served up patent sandals with multiple wide straps like the one here. But even on sale, Chloe's footwear takes a big bite out of your paycheck. Luckily, another designer has come out with equally cool but a less pricey option.

Is this Kors by Michael Kors Wicked Patent Slingback Sandals ($175) not one of the Chloe clan? Kors has come out with his version of Chloe's Spring footwear and he's done a nice job, wouldn't you say? This pair has the glossy patent detail, the wide crossover straps, but not the hefty price tag. I can live with that.

The model spent an evening celebrating the opening of a new London art exhibition, and though she was dressed in all black, her sense of humor was anything but morose. Kate generally wears a dark palette, but we rarely see her in head-to-toe black. The patent-leather coat adds a much-needed shine and the pointy black lace-up boots give her a witchy vibe. Wicked!

This Nine West Newtime Wedge ($89) is the perfect alternative to the Marni love above. There's no patent in sight, only satin, but they're equally gorgeous and attention-grabbing. I still probably wouldn't be able to wear them every day, but for that price, I wouldn't feel bad in the slightest.

These Soiree Laced Band Patent Pumps ($170) aren't cheap, but it sure seems like it next to Gucci's $740. There are slight differences, like a thicker heel and thinner band, but they're just as unique. If you can't afford the Gucci pair, this is the best alternative.

I'm so thankful for Nine West for coming out with these Olavera Sandals ($89). They also come in black and gold, and would make any leg look equally stunning. They may not be as long-lasting as the Gucci version, but for that price, I'm sure you won't mind!
