Cleavage is sexy - no doubt. But then there's that other kind of cleavage, the not so obvious toe cleavage. If I do say so myself, I have a nice pair of feet, but I don't look to them to seduce...that is, unless I was wearing a pair of plunging shoes. The V is not reserved for necks anymore, the V has gone south. Whether the V leads to extreme or demure cleavage of the toe, these shoes are dramatic, attention-grabbing and, no doubt, sexy.

Funny woman Amy Poehler decided to go the angelic, ethereal route tonight. She showed up in a plunging white gown with a brooch detail at the bodice. Silver peep toe shoes and diamond jewels added more shine. Overall, it's simple yet elegant. Do you like?

Fab Flash: Nina Ricci Delves Into Accessories

“When the economy changes, it’s not like you want to start eating bad-tasting chocolate,” said Nina Ricci, creative director at Olivier Theyskens. “You have to stay true to what you’re doing, and the house of Nina is about luxury.” That said, Theyskens continues to plunge forward with an expanded accessories collection, which includes a newly unveiled handbag collection and expanded footwear collection.

The handbag collection, ranging from $1,800 to $2,500, consists of hobos, shoulder bags, totes, and clutches made in luxurious leathers and textures, like the ones seen above. “We’ve had a propensity toward so much flash the last few years,” said Theyskens, “and I wanted to make something classic with simple hardware. For shoes, Theyskens designed platform pumps and booties adorned with unexpected details. Both collections will be available come Spring.

Tired of ruffles? Never! From plunging tops and dresses to bags and shoes, ruffles are no longer (have never really been) trendy. They are timeless, fun, and fanciful. These Jeffrey Campbell Ruffle Platform Heel ($135) ruffled shoes are unabashedly modern. The nude color would create awesome contrast to gray or textured tights. Pooh, there I go giving away my styling secrets again . . .

This Week's Fab Favorite: Anne Hathaway

Seeing Anne Hathaway at Elle Magazine's 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in her standout platforms makes me wonder why more woman don't take the plunge on the red carpet. Yes, the look is head-to-toe Spring '09 Marc Jacobs, but given his successful collection, I would wear the entire eclectic look, too. And, I would wear it ASAP, as Anne did. The youthful yet sophisticated Lurex-striped blue dress has the ease of a shirt dress but sharp shoulders - completely modern. Color is woven throughout and catapulted via the sash belt. Anne's hair is slightly messed, delivering a nonchalant attitude. And back to the shoes, bold, witty, Fab.

Shoe Designer Spotlight: Brian Atwood

Gals looking to give their Louboutins a rest should turn to shoe guru, Brian Atwood. Since 2001, he has developed a cult-like following - one look at his sexy footwear and it's easy to see why. Brian was inspired by his mother's impeccable closet as a little boy. His passion led him to FIT in New York and later to the catwalks of Europe where he pursued modeling. But all the while, Brian had a notebook full of 4-inch stiletto sketches that would later come to life.

Quite impressively, Brian was hired by the late and great Gianni Versace in 1996 (he was the first American to be hired by the Italian designer). He finally took the shoe plunge in 2001 and has since been wooing women with his glamorous designs. But like Louboutin and other exceptional shoe designers, Brian's creations don't come cheap. They retail for $500 up to $700.
