Just when I had really embraced round toe pumps, the pointed toe comes back on the scene. While there are some celebs who will always swear by pointed toe pumps — SJP and Cameron Diaz come to mind — there are really so many choices out there. I think the girlie girl in me gravitates towards the round toe, while the bad girl is seduced by the fierce pointy toe.

I wasn't sure if the whole loafer trend was right for me, but I recently snagged a great deal on a pair at a thrift store. They're a beautiful camel color and surprisingly comfortable. Now, I have my eyes on these Yves Saint Laurent Loafer Pumps ($440).

While I always look to Balenciaga's Nicolas Ghesquiere for magnificiantly over-the-top shoes, it appears his creations are in the minority for Fall. Perfect pumps in modern, classic shapes strutted down the runways - and what is that I see? A variation of pointed toes?

You went gaga over the lovely pointed toe pumps I featured not too long ago. So my question is: do pointed toe flats have the same effect? When I look at these I see ladylike, flirty and sophisticated.

I featured this dress a while ago and am still a fan. The Asian-inspired floral pattern is not too in your face, and the brown belt perfectly neutralizes the silky dress. I'm not the only fan of this Cynthia Vincent frock.

It's amazing how much color can make or break an outfit. Case in point, these Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Silk Shortalls, $150. In the apricot color, they are hideous.
