Trend Alert: The LSD (Little Silver Dress)

While the amusing acronym isn't lost on us, neither is the dazzle of the LSD - and since these little silver dresses have been cropping up all over the red carpet on our favorite celebs, we couldn't help but turn our attention to the shine. It doesn't have to be full-blown, and as you can see from Odette Yustman, Carolyn Murphy, and Lily Collins's dress choices, respectively, there's certainly a spectrum of silver shimmer to choose from. Try a subtler effect via a metallic sheath or go all-out in allover sequins à la Lily. Just remember to keep jewels minimal and opt for black or nude pumps to avoid the disco ball effect.

While the rest of her cohorts are busy with love problems, Serena has bigger fish to fry with a surprise visit from her long lost father. For her much anticipated family reunion, the Upper East Sider layered a sleek chocolate trench coat over a maroon dress by Porter Grey, charcoal ribbed tights, and platform pumps. Such a pretty, polished ensemble, but is it enough to win her father's heart? I guess we'll have to wait and see . . .

After The Hills aired last night, Lauren Conrad stopped by the MTV Canada studios for the live after-show. The soon-to-be ex reality star looked chic in a black leather mini skirt and a sheer white blouse. The white fringe scarf adds casual flavor while her black suede pumps elongate her legs. Lauren may be opting out of reality TV, but let's hope we continue seeing her cute style out and about.

Get ready to get revitalized with a taste of citrus sinensis. So it's January, even more reason to take a bite out of orange, tangerine, sherbert or blood orange. To pair with brown or black is the question. Yes and yes is the answer. I wouldn't go metallic (maybe bronze?), so keep your brown and blacks minimal and chic. Preferably, I like some citrus sinensis with some skin - case in point Aisha Tyler in Kenneth Cole at the Cloverfield premiere.

A little rain didn't stop Vanessa Hudgens and beau Zac Efron from having lunch at Aroma Cafe in Studio City over the weekend. And a little wetness didn't keep Vanessa from dressing stylishly. I know she looks a bit old for her age here, but I still approve because she looks comfy and sophisticated. I dig the way she tied her silk scarf around her neck, her cool boots, and of course her Balenciaga bag. Hey, at least she didn't try dressing too young for her age like so many Hollywoodians.

I will forever hold a place in my heart for The O.C., which means I'll also always have a soft spot for its core cast members. That's why I'm practically giddy that Rachel Bilson (aka Summer) is making her return to the small screen this Fall on the new CW series Hart of Dixie. Bilson stars as Zoe Hart (yes, it made me think of Grey's Anatomy too), a doctor who gets uprooted from NYC to the Deep South. The previews have the bad accents you'd expect from the premise, but at least Zoe kind of seems like Summer Roberts all grown up. The real question is whether or not Scott Porter can be her Seth Cohen.
