Looks like Nicole Richie's Emilio Pucci Sleeveless High-Neck Dress, $1,070, was a hit! It's not surprising given the uniqueness of the dress and of course, your great taste! Too bad paying over a grand for a frock is not in our near-future plans. Alas, we scoured the net for an alternative with a similar feel - hope you dig it!

read more When I ran into this Arden B. Scarf Print Trapeze Dress, $138, it reminded me a lot of Nicole's Pucci dress for several reasons. First, it has the same high-neck. Next, both prints are psychedelic and fun. Finally, they are both highlighted by blue undertones. They're by no means identical, but the Arden B. version conveys a similar look and feel. And it'll save you a whole lotta dough!

There's nothing like an exuberant rug to give a room high-impact design. These psychedelic styles have a delightfully dizzying effect that almost gives them a three-dimensional appearance. I like the idea of layering them with super traditional pieces, like a leather chesterfield sofa. I've rounded up some of my favorite examples on the market right now in a range of prices to suit every budget.

This Lourdes Sánchez Bull's-Eye Rug ($130-$750, top row, center) looks especially cool when positioned under a focal piece of furniture - it creates an illusion of a frame of rays.

The shapes in this Flutter Pattern Rug ($80-$1,300, bottom, left) look like they might start to move at any second, truly capturing the effect of a kaleidoscope. The multitude of colors makes it easy to incorporate brightly colored accessories like teal, magenta, and mustard.

The octagonal pattern in this FIGUR Rug ($450, bottom, right) is almost a spinoff of a more traditional chain-link motif - only much more adventurous! These sultry, '70s colors would look amazing in a walk-in closet.

With an eclectic front-row crowd that included Kim Kardashian, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Serena Williams, and a dramatic last-minute arrival by Beyoncé, the Vera Wang Spring 2012 show already had a buzz going by the time the first ethereal white look strode down the runway. It was a collection inspired by Alice in Wonderland - Tim Burton's version, no doubt - that mixed Vera's skill for soft feminine touches with an edge; chiffon dresses had drawstrings, floral prints seemed to morph into something totally trippy and neon-hued, and the skirts were cut away to reveal the models' long legs clad in gladiator heels. Some of the more fanciful looks included a yellow corset with peplum boy shorts and techno cotton eyelet cropped vests layered over corsets. We remain most entranced, however, by the first series of white looks, as the play between transparency and tailoring, between softness and edge, seemed most natural and truly channeled that Alice in Wonderland magic. This can be no coincidence considering Wang's reign as one of the world's top bridal designers.

Trends: Sporty, sheer dresses, boy shorts, hooded vests.

Colors: White, psychedelic prints, gray, indigo, purple.

Key Look: The first series of white dresses that had Vogue Editor Grace Coddington pointing and whispering rather excitedly from the front row.

Accessories: Gladiator platform heels from Vera Wang Lavender line.

Who Would Wear It: We could see Beyoncé using one of the corset/vest combos for a music video; red-carpet risk takers like Tilda Swinton would look amazing in the white chiffon dresses.

Trend Alert: Curvacious Kicks

It was hard to miss Lake Bell at the LA premiere of Shrek Forever After with her yellow blouse, cute black shorts, and black and white curvaceous kicks. This outfit is properly timed - while the yellow blouse packs a punch, the shorts buffer, and the shoes bring in a courageous surreal sliver. Summer sandals are curving in all directions with thick and thin straps, daring colors, heels and flats. I like how they bring a fluid mix to an outfit; part psychedelic, part sci-fi, totally fun.
