The Rainy Day Solution: Hunter Wellies!

I'm always on the lookout for cute rain boots. Check out dany92's awesome find in our Fashion Passion group.

The leaves are starting to change colors, an umbrella is becoming your new best friend, and your nice suede moccasin boots start to feel the abuse - what's the fashionable solution? Hunter Gum boots! These boots are sleek, chic and don’t really look like wellies. You can without a doubt, wear them with your favorite pair of jeans, tucked in, and they will have a very urban, I am going hunting with Prince Charles this afternoon look. To be totally honest, Hunter boots are the real deal, the Rolls Royce of wellies - and they come in a cute, fun array of colors. My favorites? The pink pair and the black – so classy and versatile. I could possibly go for the timeless black, forest green, or navy option, although all the colors are Fab. Hard to make up my mind . . . If Kate Moss can rock these boots and get rave reviews in Vogue, I'm sure any fashion-conscious girl can pull these off.

Look of the Day: Inclement Weather

Most people hate the rain, but not sosupersam. The LA cutie welcomed the inclement weather in a stylish, splash-proof outfit. The green anorak is beyond rad and I fancy her cozy, oversized tube scarf. Like Bilson, she kept her toes dry in a pair of black Hunter wellies - smart!

If you live in a city with a rainy season-and most cities do have a rainy season-you're bound to don a pair of rain boots from time to time. But just because you're wearing galoshes doesn't mean you can't still be fashionable. Consider these Marc Jacobs Collection Patent Rain Boots, available for $900 here, which bring high-fashion to the lowly wellie. Made from patent-finish vinyl with shearling lining, these boots even boast an embossed Marc Jacobs nameplate on the top. Plus, the 3.5-inch heel and upturned toe will make you look less dowdy. Trend Alert: Fold-Over Wedges

This boot hybrid is hard to come across - if you ever find a cool pair I suggest you swoop them up. Wedge boots are definitely a safer boot in harsh weather conditions; they are more grounded and resilient.

If you're Nicole Richie, you have super cool fold-over wedges to help fend off weather goblins. We speculate that hers are Martin Margiela, but they could even be Tara Subkoff for Easy Spirit circa 2006. You think? Either way, while I don't recommend suede in the rain, most of these come in the supple skin. Super clean white scarf and men's fedora optional, but recommended.

I Love Your Shopstyle: Singin' in the Rain

The nonstop precipitation has me in a bit of a funk, but natural born styler brightened up my day. Her rainproof ensemble makes me want to start singin' in the rain. She refrained from featuring the per-usual rain jacket and galoshes, and, instead, chose a pair of patent boots, skinny trousers, Lichtenstein sweater, and fringe poncho complete with a clear, kitschy umbrella! Now that's what I call slick, wet-weather dressing.
