Jennifer Lopez emerged from a New York hair salon looking as glamorous as ever in her daytime gear. She went for a calm Spring friendly palette of fresh whites and greys, topped off with oversized Balenciaga sunglasses and a ladylike structured bag. I'm liking the wide legged look, and surely this style is more appealing than skinny jeans post-pregnancy. Her designer gear is a tad out of reach for us plebes so I've put together a look that is just as fabulous but far easier on the ol' wallet.

Trend Alert: Faded Jeans

Hear me out. Faded jeans may be reminiscent of the early '90s - a time when supermodels ruled the world - and is that such a bad thing? You may feel compelled to wear a pair with an off shoulder black v-neck sweater and Keds, and as a result look like early Cindy Crawford. Again, not so tragic in my book. But if you dig 'em and want to look modern, take a clue from Alexander Wang (pictured) who twinned the light denim with fun heels and silky textures. But hey, if you want to channel the supermodel heyday, be my guest.

Trend Alert: High-Waisted Trousers

It's time ladies. It's time to say au revoir to anything low waisted - the days of baring the midriff are so over. It's time to examine your womanliness and embrace it. Oh, and your power too. High-waisted trousers are a throwback to power women, think Katherine Hepburn and Sigourney Weaver in Working Girl, minus the shoulder pads, of course. I even recently asked myself: When was the last time I bought a pair of solid, classic trousers? Now is the time.

P.S. If the trousers are cuffed, heels are a must for polished perfection!

Congratulations red leather and relatives, you are officially noncheesy anymore. Berry-stained leather, as exhibited by the ravenous Rachel Weisz in Spain, is utterly appetizing. Of course, a lot depends on the accompaniments. Weisz smartly wore her smooth berry leather jacket with an adorable blue floral dress - both Marc Jacobs Resort - and killer black Barbara Bui suede sandals; she did no wrong. Keeping things feminine and unique will let your raspberry, blueberry, or tayberry piece pop.

Fab Ad: Emilio Pucci Fall 2008

Mariacarla Boscono plus Emilio Pucci's Fall campaign equals perfection. The Italian model was the right choice for the label's latest ads. Her raven hair provides nice contrast against Pucci's psychedelic prints. From extravagant maxi dresses to fur to head scarves, every shot in this campaign shines. And the backdrop - an extravagant house easily mistakable for a museum - is just as integral as Mariacarla and the clothes. A grand piano, Roman statues, marble floors . . . need I say more? It's a shame Pucci might loose Matthew Williamson's vision but what do you think?

Ally Hilfiger was looking free spirited and glamorous in a simple purple Chloe tank dress at a Jade Jagger-hosted launch party last night. She made the piece very much her own with layered hippie necklaces, sky-high gold gladiators, and a contrasting burgundy clutch. She works the jewel tone perfectly with her raven black hair and sun-kissed skin. Back to bohemia!

Freaky or fabulous, that is the question my Fabbies . . .

The raven-haired model, Mariacarla Boscono, attended a Givenchy dinner at Paris Fashion Week in a polarizing, gothic-inspired outfit by the designer. Her overly layered necklaces make Nicole Kidman's L'Wren Scott diamond Oscars necklace look understated. It's layering on crack, but I think it's beyond fabulous. What about you - freaky or fabulous?

I already professed my newfound love for Brazilian model Bruna Tenorio, but allow me to elaborate . . .

She may not strike you as Brazilian the way Gisele does, but that's because she also has Chinese and Japanese blood. She was born June 27, 1989, and made her runway debut during 2007 Spring when she walked the Paris and Milan shows. Since then, she's cat-walked and appeared in dozens of advertising campaigns like Valentino Haute Couture, D&G, and Anna Sui. Her success is not surprising considering she's a unique face among a sea of same-looking models. But what makes her Fab Face-worthy is her imperfect nose, dark eyes, milky skin, and raven hair.

Fab Ad: Chanel “Métiers d’Art” Collection

Coco Rocha, the model I likened to a turtle, stars in Chanel's “Métiers d’Art” Collection. The pitch black background is wonderfully effective because it allows your eyes to focus solely on the gorgeous, gaudy jewels and romantically brooding clothes. Everything about this is dramatic: the poufy hair, fluid poses, in-your-face accessories. The only thing I'd tweak is I'd feature a naturally raven-haired model like Mariacarla Boscono. Coco is too cute for these heavy ads. What do you think?
