This Versace Red Fox Fur "Hit" Bag, $2,330 to $5,120, is so, as Posh would say, "majah," that it was introduced at a cocktail party held at the label's Fifth Avenue flagship on Tuesday. Despite its being deemed a "Hit" bag for Fall, it's way too Austin Powers for me. Does Donatella seriously expect us to buy that thing? Maybe Posh will, but I'd rather cuddle with it than carry it! Derek Lam's new venture, 10 Crosby, has fulfilled its cool-girl status for Fall '12. The third collection from the line, 10 Crosby showed plenty of bold prints, sharp tailoring, and just the right amount of femininity to please every downtown girl. Inspired by the classic holiday flick Home Alone, Lam and design director Liz Giardina envisioned what the 10 Crosby girl would wear on a snowy Winter day. With that thought in mind, the two created silky printed palazzo pants, cozy peplum cardigans, fox-fur vests, and pajama-inspired tops tempered with tailored poplin shirt dresses and sharp trousers. 2011 Fall New York Fashion Week: Vera Wang

Vera Wang conjured up a romantic story for her Fall 2011 collection filled with pretty pleats. Her inspiration, the "English aristocracy of the 1930s," was translated into an abundance of modern elegance via sheer chiffon pleated gowns dipped in autumnal-appropriate hues. Dressy confections on their own, but Vera gave it her own fresh twist by pairing them with an amazing selection of slick coats - ranging from leather and techno-mesh creations to downright decadent oversized hood jackets - all lined with fox fur.

Furthering her functional yet fancy vibe were perfectly scrunched leather gloves and sky-high platform booties. And while the collection lacked variety, Wang showed the perfect juxtaposition between femininity and function. We can already imagine the Oscar-attending A-listers knocking down her door . . .
