I've had a mini-crush on Rachel Comey for some time now - especially after making eye contact with these dual-tone flats. But designer Rachel Comey lends her expertise to more than just lustworthy shoes: she could outfit you from top to bottom if you wanted. She started out with a job at Theory, then she broke off and made menswear - (David Bowie was a fan).

After a long stint in New York, about a year ago I headed out West with the rest of the warm weather seeking migrants. I actually landed back in my home state, but for six years my shopping life in New York flourished. Though it may be safer for me to not have NYC's awesome shops at my fingertips, I miss them.

With all of the craziness of New York Fashion Week, it's easy to overlook all of the great things about New York City. Of course there are the landmarks, the fashion, and the food, but who can forget the top notch entertainment? As such, I'm going to carve out some time to see a Broadway show.

New York Fashion Week is about the shows, for sure, but then there are the parties . . .

A few of the Sugar girls are going to be extras in Milk, the '70s-themed biopic with Sean Penn, James Franco, and Diego Luna! Since the film is retro and set in the '70s, they have some strict wardrobe restrictions.
The costume designer is asking for nothing too costumey and nothing with a visible brand name: their clothes have to look authentic, so no materials or denim that looks too modern.

You're meeting with a magazine editor about taking a possible internship at her company (nice!). Originally, you were supposed to grab some coffee with her, but now she switched things up on you and wants you to meet her at her office.
You've got to pull something together that looks professional and gives a perfect first impression — you want her to know you've got style!

You're taking some you-time at the local, arty coffeehouse, where you'll lounge, people-watch, sip a little espresso, and check out the scene. Think Audrey Hepburn's beatnik outfit in Funny Face, and show me how you'll make like the natives.
I'll start you off with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turn-Lock Continental Wallet ($168) because you'll need it to foot your coffee fix.

It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes we have to buck up and present to the big guys at the office.
No one wants to commit a travesty quite like the prom dress Whitney wore while presenting to Teen Vogue editor Amy Astley on The Hills, so help put together a sophisticated, office-appropriate ensemble. That way, you can wow 'em with your words, your work, and your looks.
