Are you all ready for another Target GO International collection? Um, always! The photos for Richard Chai for Target have been released and there's more than a few goodies to be had. Exposed zippers are still going strong and there's a good balance between bright and muted colors. There's a nice fusion of feminine and androgynous pieces. Large floral designs will appeal to many, while long vests will excite the menswear-inspired trend followers. My eyes are on the floral blouse, black zipper skirt, and long gray vest. How about you? On Our Radar: Richard Chai For Target

Target has just announced their twelfth GO International designer: Richard Chai.

The Korean-American designer is known for his minimalist sensibility, and his fashion résumé is endless - he's done everything from helping launch the Marc by Marc Jacobs line to interning for Oscar de la Renta and Dior.

His eponymous collection was launched in 2004 to a considerable amount of hype, so hopefully when his collection for Target comes out in August it will be just as exciting!

As a sidenote, since Target netted Richard, maybe they can get his good friend Phillip Lim to join in on the fun . . .

Richard Chai's Cheap(er) Love

Richard Chai is no stranger to designing on the cheap. ICYMI, he created a flirty limited-edition collection for Target Go International back in August '08. This time, the creator is kicking it up a notch with a lower-priced contemporary line for guys and gals, dubbed Richard Chai – Love. "It’s inspired by my girl, who’s in love with the guy that I dress," said Chai. "They’re not carbon copies of each other, but they go hand in hand." Aww, sweet.

The 40-piece tomboyish luxe line, wholesaling from $50 to $425, doesn't launch until Spring '10, but lucky Fashion Week goers can preview the new collection at Chai’s runway show on Sept. 12 - you know I'll be there.

Best of 2008: Tremendous Target Collaborations

I love it, you love it, we all love Target. This year, we were blessed with a tremendous amount of Target collaborations from some of our favorite designers such as Jovovich-Hawk, Richard Chai, Erickson Beamon, Sigerson Morrison, and Alexander McQueen. Alas, some of these collections have yet to hit the racks but all in due time, my dear. Take a trip down memory lane and check out all the Target team-ups in 2008. Which was your favorite?

Look of the Day: When Leather Met Satin

One day leather met satin. They came from two separate worlds, but had some serious chemistry. Leather toughened up satin, while satin softened up leather. Missfox brought out the best in each one and they all lived happily ever after. The end.

Online Sale Alert! Rogan For Target Clearance Sale

It's no secret I'm in love with the diffusion lines at Target. And it's definitely no secret that I love a sale. So when those inexpensive designer goods get even cheaper, I pounce like a jackal in the wild. To make room for the Richard Chai collection, Target is having a giant clearance sale on its Rogan line. Nothing is more than $11.24, this shift dress is $9.99 (down from $39.99), and surprisingly, the sizes aren't too picked over. Get it while the getting's good.

Fab Flash: CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Announced

Drum roll please. From a group of 100 applicants, the Council of Fashion Designers of America has handpicked their top 10 contenders for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund: Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Irene Neuwirth, Albertus Q. Swanepoel of Albertus Quartus, Alejandro Ingelmo, Juan Carlos Obando, Swaim and Christina Hutson of Obedient Sons & Daughters, John Patrick of Organic, Sophie Buhai, and Lisa Mayock of Vena Cava, and Target's twelfth GO International designer, Richard Chai.

"The mix of it was very varied," said CFDA executive director Steven Kolb who spoke about the diverse pool of talent, which included a mixed bag of sustainable designers, jewelry designers, and collections. The grand-prize winner will be awarded $200,000 with two runners-up receiving $50,000 each. Announcement of the chosen ones will be made on Nov. 17.
