Little Ms. Rock n' Roll Makeup: How To Get Kate's Look

Our Little Ms. Rock n' Roll Kate Hudson plays Penny Lane - a "band aid" in the wonderful 2000 movie Almost Famous. In this memorable roll, Kate portrays a groupie that trails a rock n' roll band on their cross country tour.

This endearing role put Kate on the map. Her winning charm and cool rocker chick style have made her very famous! Further enhancing her rock n' roll persona, later that year, Kate married real life rocker, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. Unfortunately, they have since broken up.

No matter who she dates, or what role she is playing, Kate has a hippie luxe style all her own. She's not afraid to try new looks and she's got the cute bod to wear anything she wants!

As we all know, achieving the "natural look" is anything but natural. A lot of products go into creating a glowing, perfect complexion. To find out how to recreate Penny Lane's look from Louis Burwell, the film's makeup artist,

Begin with a light foundation and a brightening concealer. Here Kate is wearing YSL Touche Eclat #2 and it has been carefully yet liberally applied under her eyes and on her lids. Personally, I also love YSL's Perfect Foundation.
Set your concealer and foundation with a light dusting of loose ivory powder. Kate has on Lancome Dual Finish Fragrance Free Versatile Powder in Matte Porcelain.
On her cheeks, she is wearing RCMA Cheek Color in blush pink. This adds just a bit of natural warmth to pale skin.
On Kate's eyes, she has on a natural taupe color such as Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Matte Taupe which was applied to her eyes with little dots of color in between her lashes to give her eyes some definition.
Louis used Lancome Aquacils Mascara in Brown/Black on her lashes. This is no longer in production, however, try Lancome Difinicils High Definition Mascara in Deep Brown for a similar shade.
Lastly, a variety of colors were applied to Kate's lips here, but the main color used was Guava Stain by Clinique. You can also try any number of sheer lip tints too. Party on!

I do believe Little Ms. Rock n' Roll would enjoy this ultra feminine floral musk fragrance Glow After Dark by JLO. It has been five years since Jennifer Lopez launched Glow, which was a huge hit, and this scent has a similar fragrance base. However, it is intended to be more reminiscent of a fun, sexy, wild girls night out rather than the soft, gentle, sensual original scent.

It contains notes of: lychee melon, sparkling mandarin, white cherry, passion fruit, creamy jasmine, pink peony, freesia lace, Moroccan rose, orange flower, musk and tree moss. The bottle is sleek and slender with a mirrored chrome finish. To really give it a night on the town effect, it has signature black and silver JLO jewelry that drapes around the nape. JLO Glow After Dark is $45 for 1.7oz, Eau de Toilette spray and the night bright body lotion is $27.50.

Our final party girl personality is Little Ms. Rock n' Roll and blondie Kate Hudson is our poster girl. We all know Kate and her rocker hubbie split this year but she continues to rock effortlessly cool ensembles. I envision little Ms. Rock n' Roll attending some awesome secret rock show this New Year's Eve. What should she wear?

Kate Winslet Leaves LA With a Golden Globe Award and Boyfriend Ned by Her Side

Kate Winslet was joined at the Golden Globe ceremony over the weekend by boyfriend Ned Rocknroll, and yesterday he was once again attached to her hip catching a flight out of LAX. Kate wore a stunning black and white Jenny Packham gown to Sunday night's award show, where she was also honored with the best actress in a miniseries or made for TV movie award for her starring role in Mildred Pierce. Her first congratulatory kiss came from Ned, who joined her during the show.

Kate graced the stage to proudly accept her award and went on to thank her costars as well as her children, Joe and Mia. Like all the winners, she then headed backstage to speak with press and revealed some future plans. Kate admitted she's interested in portraying Elizabeth Taylor, however, she politely declined to comment when asked about Lindsay Lohan's interest in a similar role. An eager reporter tried to get a quote from Kate, to which she quickly responded with one of the top 10 funniest Golden Globe quotes of the night, saying, "I'm not gonna go there, dude!"

Kate Winslet Holds Her Man's Hand During a Stroll With Mia and Joe

Kate Winslet and her boyfriend, Ned Rocknroll, went for a walk around NYC with her kids, Mia and Joe, this morning. Kate and Ned were hand in hand for the outing after going public with their relationship last month. The couple was spotted in San Francisco and also made an appearance at the Upham, NM, unveiling of Virgin Galactic's newly completed runway in October. They later traveled to London together and have since returned to Kate's Manhattan home base.

The two reportedly met during Kate's Summer visit to Necker Island, which is owned by Ned's uncle, Richard Branson. Ned and Kate apparently hit it off, despite the devastating fire that occurred while Kate and her family were vacationing there.

Michelle and George Take Home Big Wins at the Star-Studded Golden Globes

Ricky Gervais was back, and as irreverent as ever, as the host of the 2012 Golden Globes. He kicked off the proceedings by pointing jabs at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, saying that the Globes are "just like the Oscars, but with less esteem." Celeb cameos started on a high note with an appearance from Johnny Depp, and early supporting honors went to Christopher Plummer for Beginners. Shortly after, Madonna unexpectedly was the winner in the best original score category for W.E. Michelle Williams won in the best actress in a musical or comedy category for My Week With Marilyn, making her BFF and date Busy Philipps one happy lady! Sweetly, Michelle thanked her daughter Matilda, saying, "I'm a mother first, and an actress second."

Further movie accolades went to Woody Allen, for his Midnight in Paris screenplay, and best supporting actress, Octavia Spencer for The Help. Iran's A Separation took home the best foreign film distinction over Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, and Morgan Freeman made a touching speech accepting his Cecil B. DeMille prize. Angelina Jolie took the stage to present Martin Scorsese with the best directing statue for Hugo. Best actor in a musical or comedy went to Jean Dujardin for The Artist, and a very dapper Colin Firth handed off the best actress in a drama honor to Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady. Natalie Portman had the enviable task of bestowing best actor on George Clooney for The Descendants, and gave girlfriend Stacy Keibler a celebratory peck on the cheek en route to the podium. The Artist was crowned best motion picture, musical or comedy, and the final best drama award went to Alexander Payne's The Descendants.

In the TV realm, Lauren Dern scored a best actress upset for Enlightened over Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Zooey Deschanel. Julianne Moore and Rob Lowe overcame some technical difficulties to announce the miniseries or TV movie winners. Downton Abbey was crowned best miniseries after picking up an Emmy for the same category a couple months ago. Kate Winslet won for her turn in Mildred Pierce, and she showed some PDA with boyfriend Ned Rocknroll before taking the stage! Peter Dinklage won corresponding honors for Game of Thrones. Kelsey Grammer won best actor in a TV drama for his new series Boss, while another show in its first season, Homeland, picked up best drama. Claire Danes was a big winner as best actress in a TV drama for Homeland, and one of the evening's most surprising statues went to best actor in a TV comedy, Matt LeBlanc, for Episodes! Best comedy series went, once again, to Modern Family. It was a star-studded night of toasting the best in TV and movies - make sure to check out the full list of 2012 Golden Globes winners!

Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll Explore Paris With Her Kids

Kate Winslet's boyfriend Ned Rocknroll was along for a walk in Paris this morning. He and Kate have only been dating for a few months, but he seems to already be a hit with her kids, Mia Threapleton and Joe Mendes. Joe was photographed giving a big hug to Ned, who was simultaneously pinching Mia's cheeks!

Kate, her children, and Ned are all in Europe to support her latest film. She wore a red Stella McCartney number to Sunday's French premiere of Carnage, which is the latest effort from director Roman Polanski. The movie is based on the award-winning play God of Carnage and will open in the US on Dec. 16.

Kate Winslet held hands with boyfriend Ned Rocknroll at the Upham, NM, unveiling of Virgin Galactic's newly completed runway. Ned, the nephew of Virgin billionaire Richard Branson, was on hand for a champagne toast and the official opening of Spaceport America. The high-end airport will cater to clientele willing to spend $200,000 for a round-trip visit to space beginning in 2012. For the time being, the couple is limiting their travel to Earth, including Kate and Ned's recent stop in San Francisco. It looks like Kate's schedule may allow her to spend the next few weeks enjoying Ned's company until she returns to work promoting Carnage prior to its Dec. 16 release.
