As hard as I try, even I can't keep up with every online sale. Fortunately for us web shoppers, there is always one going on, especially during the holiday season. Some of you have tipped me in about great online sales in the past. We have created a new feature where you can post a fab online sale you happen to come across. If it's a really good one, I'll post it to share the wealth, or rather, savings of wealth. You can find Sale Alerts here and submit a sale here. Let us know if you have any questions or problems.

Otte in New York has three fabulous locations, but if you can't stop in, be sure to peruse its online store. The sale section currently houses tons of designer duds for way less. There's even a 50 percent off section. These Wendy Nichol Cone/Bead Dangle Earrings ($57, originally $188) came out of the 70 percent off section. Part bubbly, part spiky - awesome!

See, the problem with getting sale alerts is that I can't stop shopping - you know what I mean. Right when I was about to turn off my computer, I received this nice email from Tobi calling attention to its awesome sale section. Right now, designer goodies are marked up to 80 percent off. Of course, I had to check it out and now I can't get this Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Safety Pin Sweater, ($189, originally $270) out of my head. What's a girl to do?

New and Improved ShopStyle Sale Alerts (Yay)

In a fashion recession, shopping smart is the way to survive. I normally try to shop smart, but with the holidays around the corner and money top of mind, it's great to have some survival tools.

I told you about SaleHabit.com, a site that allows you to only search the best of the best sales right now. But here's another savvy tool. The ShopStyle we all know and love has kicked sale alerts into high gear allowing you to choose your favorites brands and items and be emailed when they go on sale. You receive easy emails when the chosen items are reduced and you can happily shop from there. I am currently monitoring a few of my favorite brands - Alexander Wang, J.Crew and Marc by Marc Jacobs - and can't wait to see what turns up on sale tomorrow, and the day after that!
