Today, OnSugar blogger The Artful Shopper shares her love for one of Fall's hottest shoe trends - the loafer pump. Listen up to what she has to say, then shop her favorite picks!

“In fashion, either you’re in, or you’re out.” In the 6^th grade, I wanted “in” and that meant joining the so-called “Preps” so, I assembled a wardrobe of V-necks, cableknits and Palazzo pants. And one of my most coveted items of them all? Wait for it . . . penny loafers.

Who can forget the novelty of buying their first must-have pair of shoes that all the other kids are wearing? Maybe yours were some pretty heels, or a cushy pair of UGG's, or a stylin’ set of Nike Airs, but penny loafers? Sure, there was the novelty of having big sis help me make them look all shiny, and adding the little charm of a penny, but who can forget the thick, awkward block heel, the unflattering height and the typically dowdy association with straight-laced school marms and perhaps, those least interested in fashion, “Gulp,” nuns?

They're here! The September 2011 issue of Vogue features all the exclusive Mario Testino-lensed pictures from Kate Moss's July wedding. Kate and her now-husband Jamie Hince posed for romantic photos on their big day, and the magazine also features rare images of Kate with her daughter Lila - Kate usually goes to great lengths to keep her child out of the spotlight. Kate went on to speak about their wedding planner, Sam Gainsbury, and the 138 guests, 39 of which were kids, at their ceremony in Southrop, England. The couple apparently left the church to the Rolling Stones song, "You Can’t Always Get What You Want." Kate told Hamish Bowles about what motivated her and Jamie to tie the knot, her mild case of bridal fever, and more. She said:

On deciding to get married: "We were just so loved up, and he asked me to marry him every day. . . . [The show Big Fat Gypsy Wedding changed everything] . . . I am so romantic about gypsies. They’re not allowed to do anything until they get married. So they all get married really young, at 16. You can’t believe the dresses. They’re like blinging butterflies times 10; they can’t move down the aisle! It’s so genius. I was just watching Jamie, so cute, and I was like, these girls, they just spend their whole life waiting for that day - let’s do it!"
On staying in shape with jivamukti yoga: "They call it moving meditation. It’s loud, loud music, so it’s dynamic, not boring."
On her inspiration: "I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft focus. The Great Gatsby. The code name was GG for a while. That light and that kind of fun decadence. It’s rock-’n’-roll Great Gatsby!"
On needing her friends to get through the wedding planning: "Let’s put it this way. If I didn’t have my friends . . . I don’t know how people do it. I’ve had big birthday parties, and I’ve thrown parties for other people, but this is a completely different thing. It’s the Met Ball! Because you have to look at every piece of cutlery; the details are intense. And then you wake up thinking about the ballet shoes for the girls; is the satin ribbon right? I’ve gone mental. Jamie thinks I’m mad, asking, ‘Are you gonna be all right? After the wedding, I’m hoping you’ll get back to normal!'"

Kate Middleton picked a breathtaking Alexander McQueen gown for her royal wedding dress. Kate, who is now Princess Catherine - or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - arrived at Westminster Abbey just minutes ago and walked down the aisle to meet her groom, Prince William. The gorgeous bride stunned in an English and French Chantilly lace gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. She wore ivory duchesse satin shoes that were also handmade by the team at McQueen. Kate accessorized the custom look with a silk tulle veil and a Cartier tiara, which was lent to Kate by the queen. The bride wore diamond earrings, a gift from her parents, by Robinson Pelham, which were inspired by the Middleton family's new coat of arms. She carried a bouquet of myrtle, lily of the valley, sweet william, and hyacinth, all of which hold significance to the royal family and the Middleton family. Kate's sister, Pippa, also wore an ivory McQueen gown, and earrings from the same jeweler, and assisted the bride with her train. Kate met Prince William at the altar, where he whispered "you look beautiful" to his stunning future wife.

First Look! J.Crew's Great Gatsby-Inspired Fall 2011 Collection

Yesterday, Jenna Lyons and Marissa Webb presented J.Crew's Fall 2011 collection at Industria Studios in NYC. Inspired by The Great Gatsby and Bonnie and Clyde, the collection highlighted rich saturated colors, some even neon, transformed into wide-legged and slim-cut trousers paired with cropped sweaters, pleated skirts, silk dresses, and sharp outerwear. As expected, the collection was styled to perfection via stacked bracelets, perfectly messy ponytails, and even more to note: an amazing shoe collection. It's almost party time people. Catch up on your sleep and get your party wardrobe in order now to avoid holiday burnout. While you could go the princess route, like Kristen Stewart did at the New Moon LA premiere, on the other side of the red carpet, was Dakota Fanning in a flirtatious lace Valentino frock and satin party platforms. I have a black lace-up Banana Republic pair I'm looking forward to dusting off, though fanciful colors like blood red, fuchsia, and navy have their own appeal.

Nude shoes look great with anything, really. They elongate the leg and are the sexiest neutral around. Or, you can opt to go head-to-toe nude like Penelope Cruz, goodie nude shoes. Her banded Dolce & Gabbana is near nude perfection; her satin Very Prive Louboutins are insanely Fab. I have some classic nude patent Brian Atwood pumps that I always grab in a crunch. It's a worthy investment, but I recommend shopping for your nudes in the flesh to ensure a perfect skin match.
