Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey enjoyed time on the beach on the 4th of July, and while Jim looked pretty good in his woman's bathing suit, she was hotter in her Scoop Beach Smocked Dress ($365). It comes with a rope belt but Jenny opted to remove it for the beach. Unlike many other ombre maxis, this one is silk so it's wearable in dressy situations. I told you dip-dyed maxis were all the rage.

On Our Radar: Scoop Beach Collection to Debut

Scoop NYC has created an exciting collection for ladies who love designer resort collections but would rather not spend a fortune.

Scoop Beach, set to launch in February, will not just be for vacation getaways. "This is not stuff to [simply] go to the beach in," said Stefani Greenfield, co-owner of the store. "We're going to have this in our stores all year long."

Fifteen Scoop NYC shops, as well as other department stores, will carry the collection, which includes a variety of dresses, woven tops, knitwear, pants, scarves, sandals, handbags, and more. If you don't live near a Scoop, an online store is coming soon. Items ranging from $55 to $445 aren't cheap, but they sure beat, say Prada's resort collection. I'll take that.

Sneak Peek! Quiksilver's Women's Collection

You may have heard whispers about beach label Quiksilver and its foray into a women's collection. Didn't get the memo? No fear, Fab has the scoop. If you love the slightly sporty, totally laid back look of the label's warm weather duds, there's more where that came from. The designer Summer Rapp (is that her real name? Summer, coincidence?), who has worked with urban brands Volcom and Ever, said, “The collection is designed for the woman who is confident in her casual and timeless wardrobe. She evokes femininity in a very pure and effortless way while still having a certain sexiness about her.”

Get ready for equally sporty and laid back clothes but more grown up and with a downtown vibe. Shrunken jackets, layered tanks, cool plaids and funky jeans offset by detailing like bows and ruffles, embody a well rounded first collection. The garb will launch July 15 online and in-store.

I Want This Wardrobe: Factory Girl

Today's 'It' girl Sienna Miller plays the original 'It' girl Edie Sedgwick in the movie Factory Girl hitting theaters today. After getting the inside scoop from the film's costume designer John Dunn, I learned that Sienna's wardrobe was, not surprisingly, mostly vintage - except a pair of killer Jimmy Choo boots. As you can see, all these wardrobe pieces are still stylish as ever. As much as I would love to go back in time to snag some of these Fab pieces for myself, check out what I did find, ready and available to all of us. Oh and here's a tip: don't forget to wear a pair of sturdy black American Apparel jersey hot shorts, $12, if you dare wear Edie's signature black tights look.
