DIY: Make a Sequin-Collar Top!

We love a sparkly collar, most recently seen on the Spring runways including Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and on celebs like Hailee Steinfeld and Diane Kruger, so we decided to re-create this look. It's an easy way to update a top you already own, and it's an affordable way to try out the trend. All you need is a cotton top with a collar, sequin trim (have fun with color!), Aleene's Jewel-It glue, pins, and scissors - so simple, right? Make sure you let your top dry overnight once you're done, and remember to hand wash it gently so that the sequin trim doesn't come off. By sticking to simple, structured shapes and lighter shades, Fab reader postgradchic made leather and sequins work for daytime. She paired mint-hued, sequined shorts with a sleek camel-colored leather jacket, then added structure to the romper's blousy top with a brown leather belt. Pink pastel brogues kept the color scheme light and gave the outfit a more casual, summery feel. She chose a leather messenger bag that matched her relaxed style and topped off the look with white retro clubmaster-style sunglasses. The end result?
