Wow, so many of you are smitten with Rachel Bilson's sidewalk style. The girl is consistently cute in boots and scarves, but that's just the problem for me - she's too consistent and not spontaneous enough sometimes. Petite fashion-maven Ashley Olsen, on the other hand, always spices things up with chunky heels and funky accessories. She has this unique ability to take a tired trend like leggings and make it look chic and new. So it should come as no surprise that Ashley gets my vote for Best Sidewalk Style for 2007!

Who Had The Best Sidewalk Style This Year?

There's a major difference between red carpet style and sidewalk style: Celebrities are pretty much on their own when it comes to the streets. These five ladies, Katherine Heigl, Kate Hudson, Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, and Rachel Bilson, all took their unique styles to the sidewalks, showing the world what they, not their stylists, are capable of. Katherine mainly showed us girly casual pieces, Kate did fabulous outerwear, Ashley stuck to avant-garde, Lindsay kept it trendy, and Rachel stayed loyal to her scarves and boots. Who do you think had the best sidewalk style this year?

Here's the thing about sidewalk style: casual everyday looks are usually put together sans stylist. That means, these five stars have some real style prowess. But we already knew that about them, didn't we? The question is: whose street style is the best of the best?

Ashley garners our attention with her minimal choices and sharp accessories, while Nicky Hilton will forever be California chic. Kate Moss always looks like she's living out of a suitcase, but pulls it off with aplomb. I am always curious to see what mommy, celebrity, and fashion designer Victoria Beckham squeezes into, and Gwyneth Paltrow made a serious style comeback this year in her black minis and teetering heels. I can't decide - you do the honors.

Fashion Week Quickie: McQueen's Wow Window

The great thing about Milk Studios and this Fashion Week is exiting a show and being in the Meatpacking District. Boutiques and good eats are right there. After the Preen show, I did a little window shopping and Alexander McQueen's window got the wow award. And I'm not the only one who thought so - see this funky chick taking a window peruse too? Right next door was Matthew Williamson so you know I made a stop there, but McQueen's model's big juicy lips, haute houndstooth, and stark skin were click-worthy.

Celebrity Style: Nicky Hilton

When I interviewed Nicky at her Fall runway show at LA Fashion Week, she talked about how much she loved jackets and outerwear. I hear that. Here she is at the grand opening of the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills showing us her style skills. Though she's a total California girl, she knows how to layer. It doesn't really matter what's under this ensemble, it's all about her sharp tweed coat, cozy scarf, sheer hose, and Louboutin boots. Nicky isn't winning your votes for Sidewalk Style Star of 2008, but she'll always be in the running because of creations like this.

Celebrity Style: Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson is in the lead for Best Celebrity Sidewalk Style, but I have to say she cleans up quite well for the red carpet. I searched far and wide for her darling, studded turquoise dress because I think everyone should have one just like it. Phillip Lim's version is quite similar and on sale!
