Christian Louboutin Miss Grey Slingbacks: Love It or Hate It?

Mark this day on your calendar as historic because Christian Louboutin has come out with shoes without a five-inch heel. OK, to be fair I have seen flats. But these Christian Louboutin Miss Grey Slingbacks ($875) are identical to the knotted Loubs we've seen, only they have a 3.5-inch heel. I'm so used to seeing super-tall Loubs that this version looks stout. Yes, these would be more comfortable to trot in, but part of Loub's appeal is the high, high heel. Are you with me?

No doubt there are mixed feelings about the Spring trend acrylic accents. I have reserved my opinion, but I secretly love acrylic. I guess the cat's out of the bag! So yes, I adore these Brian Atwood Skyline Platform Slingbacks, $890. These glossy patent leather peep-toe pumps tower over a chunky Lucite heel. What do you all think? A Fabby Halloween: Vogue Queen Bee, Anna Wintour

Do you have the gall to be Vogue editor Anna Wintour for Halloween this year? Then you've got some major competition. Model Snejana Onopka, left, did a spot-on impersonation of Anna in Vogue Paris a while back. Let it be your guide. I first suggest watching The September Issue, you know, as field research. Next, it's imperative to have the following Anna signatures: a perfectly neat bob wig, some form of (faux) fur, dark sunglasses, and slingback sandals with a kitten heel. Also, carry the latest issue of Vogue, hunch over just a tad, and don't crack a smile. I know, it's tough being Anna, but well worth it.

Chloe Open-Toe Bootie Slingbacks: Love It or Hate It?

Thank you to the lovely lilxmissxmolly for pointing out these Chloe Open-Toe Bootie Slingbacks, $615, in the Love It or Hate It? group. Now I love Chloe and aspire to be a cool Chloe girl but I am really undecided about these. Price tag aside, anything with "Chloe" & "bootie" in it I usually covet. But these also have "slingback" in it and I'm not so much a fan of that style. Also, I'd have to see these puppies on - they could either look killer or be a total bummer. What do you all think?
