There's nothing I like more than seeing Sophia Bush step outside the fashion box. Over the weekend, the actress attended The Private Lives of Pippa Lee premiere in NYC looking glam galactic in a long sleeve minidress by Helmut Lang. The abstract powder print is so art nouveau, and I like how she tempered it with sleek suede booties. With a dress like that, you don't need a lot of accessories.

Style Wins at Hollywood Life's 6th Annual Style Awards

Last night's Hollywood Life 6th Annual Style Awards brought out a gaggle of fashionably dressed stars. Lauren Conrad, Amber Valletta, Sophia Bush, and Selena Gomez were just some of the Fab attendees. There was a lot of black on the red carpet, but Lauren brightened things up in her floral Mara Hoffman frock. Step past the velvet rope to see some gorgeous frocks and to witness the after-party fun. Last night, the 90210 cuties attended the CBS, CW, and CBS Television Studios and Showtime TCA Party, as well as Sophia Bush and Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter. What a range of styles. Just because a look is casual that doesn't mean it isn't party apropos. Sophia Bush graced the red carpet for the OP campaign launch party in a getup fit for an urban safari. And let's take a moment to admire her fit stems - nice. It's refreshing to see something utilitarian and cool, versus dolled up and decked. Because of her basics - army-green shorts, white tank, brown blazer - the outfit required some glam, which she delivered via sexy crisscross Miu Miu sandals, a cascading gold necklace, and dainty clutch. The right mix of casual and lady will lead you to your very own faboo urban safari. Safe travels!

"Beautiful, gorgeous." If I had that yelled at me during a photo shoot on the beach in Malibu, I would be having fun too. Meet the posse of Op's "Summer of Music" ad campaign. AnnaLynne McCord, Sophia Bush, Solange Knowles, Joel Madden, Brody Jenner, Cody Linley, and Bow Wow got together on a not-so-warm day to act the part of pretty young things. This behind-the-scenes video shows group shots being snapped as well as a faux Good Charlotte concert. Everyone seems to really loosen up at the concert and have genuine fun - especially hottie Sophia Bush. 90210 vixen AnnaLynne McCord stated, "It’s a fun shoot to get together with all these actors and entertainers and get to do something where we are having a good time and be in fun clothes. I love the pink bathing suit and the little t-shirts and shorts, they were my favorites from the shoot." I love the pink bathing suit too . . .

Actresses usually opt for pretty, while industry insiders, like Nina Garcia, walk the fashion-forward route. Sophia Bush in Sequins: Love It or Hate It?

I adore Sophia Bush, and am usually approving of her outfit choices, but I'm not sure how I feel about this one she wore in NYC recently. I often profess my love for sequins but the silhouette of the jacket is a bit too matronly for someone of Sophia's age. Plus, the black leggings are too tight for comfort. I do love the Dior shoes, though. What do you think?

Teen Choice Awards: Sophia Bush

Normally I adore Sophia's red carpet choices; maybe the blue carpet tripped her up. She looks like she's heading to a wedding in the country, not the fun-filled Teen Choice Awards. The Jenni Kayne Resort dress is pretty, but not pretty enough for Sophia. Do you concur?

Carine Roitfeld (left): "I don't know for everyone else. For me, it's for myself. When you feel good about yourself, you feel good about everyone else."

Anne Hathaway: "Most women dress for their most fashionable friend."

Isabel Toledo: Women dress for men. I do dress for myself because it makes me feel empowered, but I'm definitely looking for [husband] Rubin's expression, not his approval. I do use clothes to speak - how I dress is a form of communication for me."

Sophia Bush: I dress for myself. There are days when I don't want to be dressed up so I'm not. And there are other days when I really want to be done from head to toe. You've got to dress for you."
