Two white-hot ladies, but only one can win. Heidi Klum wore this white Roland Mouret number at an event in June, while Jennifer Lopez just wore it at Marc Jacobs's fashion show. Heidi's interpretation is sharp as a knife thanks to her black satin Louboutins. The model decided to keep her jewelry to a minimum, so as to let the dress and shoes take center stage. The bling-loving Jennifer opted for huge drop earrings, black patent platforms, and a black shoulder bag. Both ladies rock the white, but who do you think wore it better?

Since that's sometimes the case, HerRoom.com has come up with a genius solution. Red dress, leopard belt, black pumps - a killer combination both Rihanna and Elizabeth Banks recently took on. Fashion coincidence? The items are similar but the styling is vastly different. Rihanna is dressy and chic, while Elizabeth is more casual and sassy. Let's break their looks down shall we?

Rihanna: The singer chose a tomato red Monique Lhuiller Resort '09 dress at the Spirit of Life Awards dinner in LA. Very fancy-dinner appropriate.

Dress: So as not to be the average lady in red, she sought funkiness and got it with the origami detail bodice. The taffeta fabric elevates the look to black tie status.

Belt: The slim leopard belt breaks up the look and adds a touch of casual. Without it, the look would be too mature for Rihanna.

Shoes: The black satin pointy pumps maintain sophistication without distracting.

Elizabeth Banks: The actress wore a bold red square-neck mini dress to the MTV TRL studios in NYC. MTV appearances require lightheartedness and this delivered.

Dress: This dress is not nearly as elaborate as Rihanna's; it's equally modern, fun, and flattering.

Belt: This overly wide leopard belt distracts from the dress. Plus, it does nothing for her figure besides hide it.

Shoes: The black patent round-toe pumps save the look. They provide some much-needed shine.

I like them because I don't necessarily have to wear a bra, which is a rarity for bra-loving me. Halters come in several different shapes and forms so I thought it would be handy to know what works for your bod. Here are a few tips!

This bebe Silk Trim Gathered Halter Top, $54 is ideal to accentuate a small bust; the wide-set straps create the illusion of a fuller chest and the Ruching in the center furthers the effect.
I adore this Ella Moss Halter Ruffle Dress, $175. The ruffles and plunging neckline balance out broad shoulders & bring attention front and center.
This Obus Paris Dress, $325 is a great fit for a large-busted gal. The straight-across front provides coverage, while the straps square off in the middle playing down cleavage.
A fun little top, this Arden B. green jeweled halter, $88 is ideal for narrow shoulders. The thin crossed straps in front won't overwhelm a slender frame - and they hug the base of the neck, making shoulders appear wider.

Chloe Triple Strap Pumps: Love It or Hate It?

Kate Bosworth has been seen wearing the black flat version of these Chloe Triple Strap Pumps. I actually like both versions. The gold tips at the base of the chunky square heel on these puppies are so bad ass. And I am really attracted to the triple strap, round-toe look. They would look lethal with a black mini skirt and a simple scoop neck grey tee.
