Now, Icelandic designer Steinunn Sigurðar has branched out to do her own thing with her new eponymously-named line, <a href="http://www.steinunn.com/" target="_blank">Steinunn</a>, which I got a chance to check out while I was in <a href="http://fabsugar.com/tag/new+york+fashion+week+spring+2008" >New York for fashion week</a>!</p> <p>The lady definitely has an affinity for shades of gray and black, triangular puckered detailing and bold ruffles. She cites her inspiration for her Spring 2008 collection as the volcanic landscape of Iceland and the sky and sea melting together on the horizon, which she translated into pretty gauzy ruffled tops, taffeta dresses, and bow-embellished skirts.
