The weather is still warm and I love it. Last week I attended a hotel rooftop pool party with a bunch of friends. I'm sure I'll cherish the memory come next season's gusty winds. Lots of splashing, drinking, munching, and some dancing were involved. Who was up for the challenge of dressing me? Fab Finding Follow-Up: Beach Boardwalk, in the Warm California Sun

Last weekend I headed to Santa Cruz with the fam. We enjoyed the sun and roller coasters at the Beach Boardwalk, followed by a nice dinner. I was pretty worn out by dinnertime, but lucky for me, I had your help. I asked you to find a look that would do double duty from a day at the beach to a night on the town.

D&G Spring 2012

Opulent, silky prints ruled D&G's final runway show - and if you've ever wondered how to wear a scarf more than 10 different ways, this is it. For Spring 2012, Dolce & Gabbana's younger line showed us endless ways to adorn ourselves in silky, luxe prints - halter-tied flowing dresses, mini shorts, tunics, button-downs, wrap skirts, and even silk scarf-wrapped platforms and bags. Hardly any solids appeared at all - save for a denim-on-denim suit and a white button-down adding stark contrast to a pair of tailored silky, turquoise trousers and printed miniskirt. Whimsical and luxurious, we probably wouldn't feel right if we weren't wearing these pieces on a yacht somewhere off the Amalfi Coast.

Trends: Prints, denim, scarves.
Colors: Pink, green, blue, orange, multihued prints, polka dots.
Key Look: The silky, mixed prints looked amazing, but we're particularly obsessed with the silky print tunic over the floral print silk shorts.
Accessories: Scarf-wrapped platforms, major gold coin drop earrings and necklaces, small printed box clutches, larger, fringe-adorned printed clutches, and straw-trimmed floppy hats.
Who Would Wear It: Glamorous vacationers and die-hard D&G fans.

Rachel Comey Spring 2012

With a live drum-heavy performance from New York indie band I.U.D. playing in the backdrop, Rachel Comey showed her Spring 2012 collection last night at Pier 59 Studios. Comey's trademark cool-cum-whimsical prints were updated with a chic new twist, "I'm taking them to a more subtle, textural level," said Comey. "And I like it." Adding depth to her collection were draped asymmetric floral print dresses layered over corsets and diaphanous sheer cable knit print patterns. For accessories, Comey showed off another covetable range of flatform sandals, colorblocked loafers, and Moroccan flats topped off with straw hats. Trends: Sheer prints, asymmetric dresses, mid-length hemlines, plaid prints.

Colors: Dark blue, linen, black, tan, burnt amber, orange, forest green.

Tea Party Faithful Show Up to Support Maybe-Candidate Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin drew twice as many supporters as GOP front-runner Mitt Romney this weekend at a Labor Day Tea Party event in New Hampshire. The former governor and vice presidential candidate continues to give pseudo stump speeches to campaign-style crowds in strategically important states. But although Palin also completed a half-marathon this weekend, coming in second in her age bracket, she's still denying any intent to run - for president.

Palin's supporters wished she would though, chanting, "Run, Sarah, run" at the rally. But there's not much time, nor room in the race left. As a currently serving Congresswoman with an Iowa straw poll win under her belt, Michele Bachmann could make a similar, yet stronger candidate than Palin, and she also appeals to the Tea Party base. Plus, Bachmann's campaign manager stepped down yesterday, citing health concerns, while also stating that he thinks it's currently a race between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

On the other side of the spectrum, President Obama gave his own campaign-like speech in Detroit on Monday after a couple of days with his family at Camp David. Aretha Franklin was on hand, as the president heard chants of "four more years," but he still has to wait months to find out who he'll face. Do you think Sarah Palin will throw her hat in the ring?

A Fashionable Girl's Guide to Braving Bonnaroo

We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!

The annual Bonnaroo music festival is right around the corner, taking place on June 9-12 in Manchester, Tennessee. And the lineup is stellar-some of our favorite acts include School of Seven Bells, Ratatat, Lil Wayne, Sleigh Bells and Best Coast. So if you're going, you'll need to master that really dressed-down, but-still-look-cute look. Of course you want to look festive for the festival, BUT I recommend avoiding these extremes: all-out grungy hippie, or wearing an outfit that is the sartorial equivalent of a sign on your head that says, "I'm a hipster." Think of this as Coachella-lite, in terms of taking the fashion down a notch. Check it:

Grab a hat and some fancy sunblock. Lucky beauty editor (and my roomie) Simone Kitchens won't let me leave home without them-thanks, Mom! Go with a Stevie Nicks-ish floppy because it provides the most shade (side note: I've implemented a ban on the fedora).

Beyoncé Keeps a Lid on It as Her Latest Single Touches Down

Beyoncé Knowles landed at the airport in Nice yesterday in a white blazer, shades, and a chic straw hat. The singer, who was accompanied by a bodyguard, is looking forward to the release of her album 4 on June 28. The title track, which features Kanye West and Andre 3000, hit the Web last week, hot on the heels of her new video for "Run the World (Girls)." B has been promoting the upcoming CD since May, taking the stage at the finale of American Idol, and rocking the Billboard Music Awards. This was Beyoncé's latest trip to France after she and her husband, Jay-Z, spent a romantic week in Paris during April to mark their anniversary and hang out with their adorable nephew. In a few more weekends, Beyoncé is set to perform elsewhere in Europe at Glastonbury in England. Beyoncé is on the cover of Dazed and Confused magazine's July issue, and told the magazine she's now focused on taking risks and pushing her boundaries but is nonetheless nervous for the live show.

Fab Style Challenge Winner Is . . . Rochasfille!

This week's challenge was to take a daytime-cool beach look and elevate it to the perfect evening ensemble, with just a few simple switches. This look from Rochasfille totally fit the bill - she started with a super-chic, full-length black jersey jumpsuit, threw in a beach-friendly straw hat and cork sandals, then took it to new heights for sundown by switching out the heels, adding an oversize clutch, and layering up with a slouchy sweater. Great transitional look!

We've had Solange Knowles's downtown-cool style on our radar for a while now, but the look she wore while attending an Opening Ceremony event in NYC totally solidified our style crush. She dressed up a plain strappy white tank by tucking it into a pair of bright red, floral-printed pants - and kept the focus on her fun bottoms by choosing a pair of nude lace-up heels. Solange pulled the look together by adding a slew of funky accessories - a wide-brimmed straw hat, gold statement necklace, slim hoop earrings, and a pair of hip, round-eye sunnies.
