Mega model Heidi Klum recently debuted her Victoria's Secret makeup line and looked damn good doing it. She got down to work, testing her makeup skills in a Cecilia De Bucourt grey stud tee, faded grey skinnies, a white studded belt, and peep toe pumps. Though there's no color in her outfit, she manages to keep it fun with the stud details, her voluminous waves and ear-to-ear smile. Now only if we could all look this gorgeous while on the job!

Mariah Carey Returns to the Stage For the First Time Since Having the Twins

Nick Cannon led Mariah Carey inside NYC's Gotham Hall last night. Mariah was decked out in a tight black dress to take the stage as part of a cross-country event. PR company Caesars Entertainment hosted their "Escape to Total Rewards" series, which saw Mariah sing in NYC, Maroon 5 perform in Chicago, Mary J. Blige belting it out in New Orleans, and Cee Lo Green rapping in LA with Lil Wayne.

It was Mariah's first concert since the birth of her twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon back in April of 2011. The twins weren't there, but Mariah thought about bringing them. Mariah told the crowd, "Do you love them babies? 'Cause I do . . . I really wanted to bring them here tonight, but Monroe is sometimes shy and takes a while to warm up to an audience. Rock and roll! Nah, but it's late. It's time for them to be asleep." Earlier in the day, Mariah made a cameo at another promotional event. Mariah Carey christened Disney's new cruise ship, the Fantasy. She was declared godmother of the vessel in front of a star-studded NYC panel that included Nick, Jerry Seinfeld, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Tim Gunn.

Mulberry Fall 2012

Thanks to Mulberry's fur-covered Fall '12, staying warm will be the least of our worries next season. Creative Director Emma Hill served up a cozy, woodsy collection inspired by Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, and with a star-studded front row including the likes of Azealia Banks, Pixie Geldof, and Lana Del Rey (who even got a bag named after her this season) who sat on fur-covered seats, Mulberry's runway show was a heavenly romp through a wooded forest, playing nicely to the adventurous "girl against the elements" vibe - the color palette was earthy and natural, with bold pops of striking brights, and Aztec-inspired zig zags and painterly prints were also peppered throughout. Stylist Jane How did a fantastic job of setting the sartorial scene; fur vests were cinched with skinny belts and paired with sexy pencil skirts, chunky knits were layered over super-luxe silk and lace dresses, and models were swathed in sumptuous oversized scarves. After a veritable blast of color and patterns, Hill switched things up by ending the show with fluid, black-on-black ensembles - and the overall unexpected contrasts and eclectic styling gave us lots to look forward to this Fall. Diesel Black Gold Fall 2012

It was all about baggy cuts and luxe fabrics at Diesel Black Gold's Fall showing today at Pier 57. Designer Sophia Kokosalaki stayed true to the brand's rock 'n' roll aesthetic, showing a range of printed skinnies, oversized cuffed leather pants, and a lot of leopard. Inspired by "vintage B-movies," Kokosalaki took it to the streets with an assortment of paint-splattered pants, low-slung leather wrap skirts, and a heavy helping of leopard prints. Designs for the downtown girl, but there were also a few notable pony hair tops and jackets which added a sleek touch to the collection. The complete breakdown below.

Rodarte Fall 2012

Leave it to Kate and Laura Mulleavy to not only draw a star-studded front row - hello, George Lucas, Natalie Portman, and Dakota Fanning - but to deliver a stellar, 1940s-inspired Fall '12 collection too. One part cave-drawing-infused, one part retro femme, and one part Australian outback-reminiscent, Rodarte showcased a beautiful mix of totally girlie pieces with both red-carpet appeal and wearable ladylike style. The sister duo paid close attention to feminine details á la Peter Pan collars, artfully structured ruffles, and metal star appliqué hair combs. Yet, never ones to shy away from throwing some quirk into the picture, they added literal hand prints to long, flowy evening gowns and added cowboy buckles to double-strap leather belts. The biggest covet-worthy takeaway from today's show? After several seasons of collaborating with key shoe designers like Nicholas Kirkwood and Christian Louboutin, the Mulleavy sisters debuted their first-ever in-house shoe collection. We're calling it: Rodarte's two-tone pumps with heels made of plexiglass, sexy dominatrix-inspired spat heels, and lace-up boots will be Fall '12 It girl items. All in all, it's a gorgeous autumnal lineup, just begging to be worn.

Trends: Cropped cable-knit sweaters, hand-print chiffon dresses, and 1940s-inspired silhouettes.
Colors: Warm, earthy tones like rust and terracotta juxtaposed against cool neutrals.

Who Would Wear It: Front-row attendees Natalie Portman and Dakota Fanning are high up on the list, but we think a plethora of A-list talent will be clamoring to wear this collection. Don't be surprised to see Taylor Swift, Alexa Chung, Kirsten Dunst, and Elle Fanning flaunting Rodarte's wares, too.

Jason Wu Fall 2012

It was chinoiserie-chic and brocade abound at Jason Wu's impressive Fall 2012 show. The designer paid homage to his native Taiwan - the show kicked off with the opening of two dramatic red doors and the burst of a gong - breaking down his collection into three distinct themes: Mao military, Qing Dynasty, and the '30s and '40s Hollywood version of China. For his military category, Wu showed a sleek selection of Mao military jackets punctuated with luxe details like fur and quilting. The Qing Dynasty was all about sharp-shouldered sheath dresses, inspired by the traditional Chinese cheongsam dresses. Wu played up the nonauthenticity of Hollywood's depiction of China in the olden days, adding over-the-top embellishments and even quirky tasseled hats to his undeniably gorgeous array of high-slit gowns paired with sexy black and gold studded sandals.

Trends: Military, ornate Asian embroidery, tassels, brocade.
Colors: Army green, red, hot pink, black, burgundy.
Key Piece: Wu's Mao military theme set, particularly the Mao jackets and shirts, showed perfect tailoring and detailed work.

Recycling fabric is a powerful green living and cost saving strategy. Denim is one of the coolest fabrics to do it with. It's sturdy, gains character with age and can be acquired very inexpensively at yard sales or in your own "old clothes" closet. Some of the coolest ideas I've found?

Pot holders. In my opinion, these look far better out of used denim than the new stuff. And you can incorporate your own style via choice of trim or a patch stitched to the outside. Here's a link to some tips for making your own.
Cool quilts. You can do this in many forms. Different shades of denim patchwork options abound and are certainly sturdy and fun. Unfortunately, one of the coolest ideas I've ever seen I've been unable to find pictures of. It was done with pieced denim, but they had left on all the details like pockets, buttons, belt loops, etc. It made for a really fabulous unique quilt with a lot of attitude. Millions of fans tuned in last night for American Idol's two-hour, star-studded season finale. Ryan Seacrest was decked out in a tux to take in the powerful performances, later announcing 17-year-old Scotty McCreery as this year's champion - do you agree with the season 10 American Idol winner? The top 13 contestants returned to sing and dance throughout the show, as did Beyoncé Knowles, Lady Gaga, and even Idol judge Steven Tyler. Carrie Underwood arrived in a Lorena Sarbu dress then joined finalist Lauren Alaina for a duet of "Before He Cheats," and Scotty teamed up with country legend Tim McGraw on "Live Like You Were Dying." Beyonce took the stage twice, first doing a medley of her own hits like "Crazy in Love" with contestants and then a solo of her new single "One Plus One." Marc Anthony got the crowd on their feet with a Latin beat as Jennifer Lopez shook it in a hot fringed costume. Lady Gaga, U2, Tony Bennett, Jack Black, and Gladys Knight also joined in the fun before Scotty celebrated his accomplishment by belting out his first original track, "I Love You This Big."
