You may have already seen the Slim Fast commercials and print ads with Rachel Hunter and wondered what the heck she's doing endorsing a diet. The company has joined with the blonde model to motivate women to get in shape and in style.

When you sign up (for free) to Style Your Slim, you start your road to weight loss and are granted a fashionable detour with the fashion rewards program. Basically, you're eligible for an American Express card for up to $40, and a monthly fashion rewards newsletter with fashion tips, product news, and special offers. The best part is you automatically get entered into a drawing for a chance to win $1,000 toward a new wardrobe. If that's not enough motivation to slim down, then I don't know what is! Just this morning I asked if you were going to wear lace this season. If you're on the fence, look to Kristin Cavallari and her fresh take while hosting the UNITE Unveiled: Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion in LA. Her nude lace top is tempered by a slim black leather pencil skirt and neutral accessories. If you look closely, she's wearing a nude bra underneath, but it perfectly blends, revealing just enough. Swimming With Shoshanna

It's bikini season and you know what that means . . . it's time to decide on your Summer '09 swimwear look. I've been really into prints lately - loud, bright, saucy prints. How many swimsuits do you own?

I own way too many swimsuits to count!!! All Shoshanna, of course!!!

What are the key swim trends to look for this Summer?

Look for bright pop colors like neon pink, orange, and green. Tribal prints are popular as well as ditsy floral prints, big bohemian florals, and graphic black and white.

How do you prevent swimsuit wedgies?

Prevent wedgies by wearing the right size. Not too big and not too small. Should be snug, but not tight.

What advice do you have for a girl who isn’t comfortable with her beach body?

A bathing suit is a bathing suit, it’s never going to cover that much! You can do lots of things to cover up area’s you are insecure about. Throw on an Elizabeth and James button down, Anlo jean shorts, or a Mexican embroidered dress. If you are insecure about your bottom, thrown on a cute skirt. If you want to cover up your arms, a 3/4 sleeve tunic will do just the trick. Also, accessorize your outfit with some beachy jewelry, like gold necklaces or bangles to look super chic.

How do you find a swimsuit that flatters your shape?

Big Busted: Look for halters which offer the most support. Also look for boning and underwire which will act like a bra and securely hold you in place. Curvy: Look for one pieces with ruching to slim your middle. When shopping for bikini's stick to bottoms with tie strings so they are easily adjustable. Flat Chested: Strings are most flattering. If you want to enhance your chest, look for ruffles or ruching which will create the illusion of a bigger chest.

Do you think it’s worth buying an expensive bathing suit (yours) versus a cheap one (H&M)? Does it make a difference?

There are two factors to think about: quality and fit/sizing issues. H&M is very generic and sold as sets. Our collection offers 13 different sizes and are sold as separates so we give customers more options. Shoshanna bathing suits are also constructed with the highest quality materials. We use a special boning and underwire that provides amazing support.

What are some general tips for purchasing swimwear?

Cotton bathing suits are more for show. They will take a long time to dry compared to a polyester/Spandex blend. Accept that sizes will vary, even from the same label.

I remember it like it was yesterday: I was 8 years old, it was Saturday morning, and I was watching one of my favorite TV programs, Fashion File. And there she appeared, Amber Valletta, with her BFF Shalom Harlow goofing around backstage at a fashion show. Those two were inseparable, but I always had eyes for Amber. She was not your typical sexy blonde. Rather, she was slightly sporty but still irresistibly pretty. She teetered between girl-next-door and unattainable beauty. That chiseled bone structure, those gorgeous green eyes, that slim but fit bod - they were the reasons she made it big time and even scored a hosting gig on MTV's House of Style. Reminiscing makes me long for those days when Amber ruled. Now married with a kid, the Super continues to command attention like she did when she was a newbie. She comes around at fashion soirees, and I still get as excited to see her as I did that one Saturday morning . . .

Fab Body Guide: Elongate Yourself

You've all heard that black makes you look slimmer and taller. While that's true, it's not the only trick in the book. There are a dozen other ways to elongate yourself without having to look goth. Take a look at the real-life examples below. For The Spirit LA premiere, Eva Mendes chose a Bill Blass maxi that, because it grazed the carpet, made her appear taller. Vertical stripes, as shown in the center editorial, and long cardigans, like on Katie Holmes, can also do the trick. Proceed for more tips.

Maxi Dresses: Like in Eva's case, maxi dresses give the illusion of tallness because they provide one straight line from top to bottom, without any interruptions.
Long Cardigans: It's a misconception that everything long makes you look tall. But a long cardigan, past your waist, is one casual way to do it. The darker the color the better.
Long, Wide-Leg Trousers: Be sure to find a style that grazes the floor, and preferably covers your shoes. They're never to be worn with flats, only high heels!
Platforms: It's no secret that platform shoes can literally add inches to your height. For a more subtle approach, choose a shoe with a hidden platform.
Vertical Stripes: Unlike horizontal stripes, which cut you off, vertical stripes keep going and going.

Trench Coats: A thigh-length trench coat is a slick, sophisticated way to appear tall, especially when worn with over-the-knee boots. Avoid anything longer than the knee, please.
Over-the-Knee Boots: Speaking of over-the-knee boots, ones with high heels will give you an extra boost. Just be sure to wear them with demure clothing; you don't want to look sketchy.
Dark Colors: Black, dark brown, navy, dark gray - these moody hues and others like them are right for looking slim and tall.
Long, Skinny Scarves: Throw on an extra long, extra skinny scarf to take the focus away from your outfit.
Turtlenecks: These give the illusion of a long neck, so they're perfect for those who have a short one.
High-Waist Styles: Whether its skirts, shorts, or pants, if you have a flat tummy, high-waisted styles can make your torso appear inches longer.
Opera Gloves: Unlike cropped gloves, opera styles go past your elbow and make your arms appear super slender.

Spring Peek: Cropped Pants

If anything stood out on the Spring runways it was the new pant styles. Harem, bermuda, pedal pusher, leggings, rolled, tailored - we witnessed them all. As someone who has always been keen on cropped pants - what better way to show off your Fab shoes? - I am psyched.

I know what you're thinking shorter-than-thou ladies, and 'tis not true; you too can get in on this fresh trend. Just add some heels (wedges are cute here) for height and keep your silhouette loose and lean and you'll actually appear that much taller. The real beauty is there are so many styles to choose from and you can create looks from items you already own.

My favorites are these cool gray scrunched leggings from the slick Celine runway, Derek Lam's simple black slims, and, for drama's sake, McQueen's yellow harem pants.
