New Web Series, Habillées, Tackles Fashion Madness

Habillées, or Dressed, is a six-part web series by Full Frontal Fashion that uncovers the madness that is fashion. It was filmed during the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer '10 fashion weeks in New York, Paris, and Milan. Part one, "Habillées Pour L'ete 2010" ("Dressed Up For Summer 2010"), follows newer talents like Proenza Schouler, Joseph Altazurra, Jason Wu, Thakoon, and more in New York City. Then in Paris, French fashion journalist Mademoiselle Agnès catches as many runway shows as possible. Experience part one below, then check out the remaining five parts.

Sundance Channel Goes Full Frontal Fashion

I was bummed when Full Frontal Fashion, a fashion program focusing on New York Fashion Week, was canceled back in January. Now there's some light at the end of the tunnel - the Sundance Channel is reviving it in its own way. "For us, it’s not about the trendy - it’s just about this dramatic, entertaining and, above all, creative perspective," said general manager Sarah Barnett. Expect a mix of original television programming and Web content.

The Day Before is a four-part series that follows four designers - Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi, and Proenza Schouler - in the 36 hours preceding their shows. As for the website, which launches Sept. 1, here's what you'll see: Patrick McMullan's video reports and a photo diary from the collections, and contributions from Lynn Yaeger, former Teen Vogue and Nylon fashion editor Aya Kanai, and Los Angeles Times editor Robin Sayers. The site will also feature a video and photo exhibition of the work of Bruce Weber.

Iconoclast: n. One who attacks and seeks to overthrow traditional or popular ideas or institutions. Can I just say I love Sundance's Iconoclast series. It's in its fourth series and if you indulged in the over-the-top Stylista last night and need a series dose of thinking television, check out tonight's episode where Stella McCartney and artist Ed Ruscha talk art and fashion, fashion and art. Here's a clip where the two are discussing how competitive both their industries are. Stella explains how one must have "survival instincts" in fashion, and really, in both industries, it's all about "selling, selling, selling." Intrigued? Watch tonight on the Sundance channel at 10 p.m.

P.S. I'm also interested in watching the upcoming Iconoclasts of skateboarder Tony Hawk and director Jon Favreau, as well as Cameron Diaz and architect Cameron Sinclair.

A Taste of Sundance, Wherever You Are

Can't join me in cold, crowded Park City for this year's Sundance Film Festival? No worries: The festival organizers have found ways for you to bring a little Sundance into your home - or onto your computer - no matter where you are.

One of the coolest features on the Sundance site this year is the premiere of 10 short films, one per day through Jan. 27. Each is online free to watch for just 24 hours, so you'll have to hustle and keep coming back - but if you miss them, several Sundance-approved short films can be purchased from the iTunes store for just $1.99.

On Our Radar: Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton Documentary

Next February, the much buzzed about documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton which follows the designer around his own brand and at Vuitton, will make its U.S. television debut on the Sundance Channel.

The film shows every aspect of the design process, following Marc through New York, Tokyo, and Paris, and has cameo appearances from the likes of Marc muse Sofia Coppola and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. It offers the chance of a lifetime: being able to get to know the venerable MJ and getting an inside view of what he does without actually having to meet him!

Red Lights Trailer: Cillian Murphy Takes on Robert De Niro's Creepy Supernatural Powers

Handsome Inception star Cillian Murphy may be taking on a less sinister role in Red Lights, but the trailer for the film looks like an equally otherworldly experience. The film premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and we didn't just take notice because it was also picked up by a distributor - it's also the second effort from Rodrigo Cortés, the director of the chilling Ryan Reynolds flick Buried. In Red Lights, physicist Tom Buckley (Murphy) is assisting Dr. Margaret Matheson (Sigourney Weaver), a psychologist who investigates the supernatural and the people who claim they can channel it. After the world-renowned (and not to mention seriously creepy) psychic Simon Silver (Robert De Niro) steps back into the limelight after several years, Tom wants to investigate him.

As Tom attempts to uncover the truth about Silver's gift, he goes down a crazy, creepy sinkhole of the paranormal and his own paranoia. From De Niro's frightening mystical powers to Tom's unraveling, this movie looks crazily intense. Emma Roberts, Andy Samberg, and Rashida Jones Bring Celeste and Jesse to Sundance

The cast of Celeste and Jesse Forever hit the Sundance Film Festival to show off their sweet movie on Friday. It's Rashida Jones's first screenplay, and she also stars alongside Andy Samberg in the project. On the red carpet at their premiere, the two gushed about working together, and Andy joked that if he was tasked with winning back an old love in real life, he'd probably revert to "d*ck in a box" tactics. Emma Roberts plays a pop star in Celeste and Jesse Forever and to get ready for the part she revealed that she channeled a little bit of Christina Aguilera in the "Dirrty" days, Britney Spears, and Ke$ha. We also chatted with Elijah Wood about his part in Celeste and Jesse and what it was like to see the The Hobbit trailer for the first time, which he said was "electrifying." Award season darling and The Descendants star Shaliene Woodley slipped in to see the movie, and later in the evening checked out Wiz Khalifa at the Bing Bar.
