The Sweethearts chose the girly-girl route and if they formed a high school clique they'd be the always nice, always perfect ones. Last night, Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Reggie Bush had a date at the Staples Center, where the LA Lakers hit the court. Far from sporty, Kim looked modern chic in a gorgeous Vena Cava silk tank (on sale!) and an off-white leather jacket. Sticking with the neutral theme, she accessorized with a gray patent quilted bag and gray Christian Louboutin boots. Lastly, her dark-blue skinny jeans provide variety from all the soft hues. Works for me.

The Look For Less: Helmut Lang Leather and Wool Dress

As of late, I've taken a strong liking to the combination of leather and wool, or leather and knit. I think Molly Sims's Elizabeth and James skirt sparked it. Leather on its own can be intense, but the addition of another fabric softens it up. If I could, I'd get this Helmut Lang Leather and Wool Dress ($875). It's modern and futuristic at the same time, but it's way too pricey for me.
