When I came across these gorgeous Gucci Platforms ($928), I couldn't help but envision the leggy look I'd achieve wearing them. Despite my attempts to rationalize the purchase - their versatility, the timeless design, the supple pebble leather (I could go on) - at this price, the look would have to remain a fantasy. Not to be deterred by a lack of funds, BCBGirls Devona Platform ($85, originally $110) is an almost identical substitute for the gushy Guccis. The same gold-toned hardware and double ankle straps make this a dead-ringer for the designer version, and at just a fraction of the price, I'm not about to pass this up.

Nicolas Ghesquière's Spring '08 collection for Balenciaga wasn't all too wearable but it was all together stunning. One of the trends that blossomed from that show were the multicolored weave footwear. Nicole Richie already got her feet on the boots, so let's also get in on the hot trend with these Spring/Summer-ready Sigerson Morrison T-Strap Woven Sandals ($425). They have the same black-and-white woven motif but they're much more comfortable. Oh, and considerably less pricey . . . $978 less to be exact!

We all have some body parts we love to show off, and some we can't help but cover up. The good news is there are solutions to most fashion problems! I have had a few girls vent to me about having thick ankles and wondering what shoes they should wear to help slenderize the situation. Here are three styles that are all different and help thin out thick ankles. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more suggestions!

T-Strap Heels

This shape draws the eye in and down, so ankles appear leaner. The opposite of a t-strap would be a slingback, which make ankles seem rounder.

Fabworthy: J.Crew Antonia Glitteri T-Strap Heels

Whoa, when did J.Crew get so fancy schmancy on us? These Antonia Glitteri T-Strap Heels, $225, are a modern fit for Cinderella. They also have a bit of The Great Gatsby in them because of the t-strap. What makes them super fabworthy is that they're glitzy without being over-the-top; and that's really hard to achieve when glitter is involved.

I wish I knew about these before going to a recent banquet. They would have definitely matched my Catherine Malandrino off-white dress. Oh well...next time!

The Look for Less: Lanvin Gladiator Sandal

You all know by now that I am a huge fan of gladiator sandals, even though my friends say I look like Hercules when I wear them. Whatever. These Lanvin Gladiator Sandals, $575, to me, are one of the best kinds out there. Worn with a pair of itty-bitty denim shorts and a simple white tee, they would look dazzling. If they're a bit out of your league, you'll be excited for the look for less...I sure was!

Almost identical, these Dolce Vita Fondue Gladiator Sandals, $87, are the perfect alternative to the Lanvin ones. They even have the same t-strap and python detail. For less than half the price, I'd purchase these. And if ever asked "Are those Lanvins?" I'd just smile and nod. A little white lie never hurt anyone!

The Look For Less: Diane Kruger's Prada Jeweled T-Strap Sandals

This Yellow Box Heaven Sandal ($66) will give you the edge you need and not the burden of an immense credit card bill. It has a similar T-strap with chunky studs and a bulky heel for extra comfort. Unlike the Prada version, it's black, but that's even better because, as we all know, black goes with everything.

Without further ado, I present to you Prada's Jeweled T-Strap Sandals, $690. Diane sported the black version of these beauties, that, in my humble opinion, are worth every single penny.
