I'm swooning over this Hollywood Regency Gilt Tassel Bench upholstered in blue and white ikat from Madeline Weinrib. With the gilding, the curves, the luxe fabric, and of course, the tassels, it's totally ostentatious. But sometimes a girl is entitled to flaunt it! Unless you're using them as curtain tiebacks, tassels in general are merely a decorative feature - a finishing touch. This one's an unlikely find, but there are plenty of furnishings featuring ornamental tassels to go around. Check out a few that I'm liking below!

Kelly Ripa is on camera a lot, so not only does she always have to look camera ready but also camera pretty. While filming a segment in NYC, Kelly opted to dazzle the cameras with a kimono-style Anna Sui dress and Yves Saint Laurent Tribute platforms. Sui's prints are desirable because they're always wonderfully hippie and feminine at the same time. I thought Kelly's look needed some more accessories so I also gave her a gold tassel necklace and nude clutch. And action.

You can also use them as tie-backs of curtains. There's a decent variety of scents available, including lavender and rosemary, bitter orange, and Mediterranean jasmine. Assuming they smell nice, I love the idea of taking something that's typically used simply for decoration and giving it a new purpose. Potpourri is SO over!! I'm also loving the pretty box they come in. Do I smell a reimagined tassel trend approaching? I'm just waiting for Blik to make tassel wall decals . . .

The Look For Less: Gucci Indy Bag

I'll admit that when I first laid eyes on Gucci's Indy Bag, $2,990, it wasn't lust at first sight. But it came to life for me when I saw it on Jennifer Lopez. Granted the rest of her outfit is a tad overbearing, but that metallic bag with tassels really stands out and grabs your attention. On the right person, it can be a fashion jackpot.

read more Bebe's Leather Tassel Hobo, $198, looks similar to Gucci's black version of the Indy. It has the same hobo shape and the leather tassels. Obviously it's not identical, but for a fraction of the price, I think it's worth it. Plus, this version is better for those who want the look minus the glam.

Rachel Zoe Adds Jewelry and Cozy Accessories to Her Growing Brand

Rachel Zoe is a busy woman, juggling The Rachel Zoe Project (which has not yet been renewed for season five), her signature Rachel Zoe collection, a line for QVC, 10-month-old baby Skyler, and a new television production company called Rachel Zoe Productions - but that's not stopping her from doing more. Zoe has plans to launch two new categories to her signature line: costume jewelry and cold-weather accessories. Highlighting her love for vintage baubles, Zoe's jewelry line is art-deco inspired, highlighting tassel necklaces and earrings along with a "Love Me Knots” category, with knot-embellished hoop earrings, cuff bracelets, and necklaces priced between $195 and $695.

Zoe's cold-weather accessories are set to include real and faux fur hats, hoods, scarves, gloves, and statement-making stoles. "I have this obsession with what women wear in Russia," said Zoe. "The funny thing is that I don't know because I've never been there. But it's what I dream about." The jewelry collection will be exclusively available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in stores and online; availability on the cold-weather accessories is still not determined.
