Last year it was in Botswana and this year? Brazil, baby! I'm talking about the highly anticipated 2010 Pirelli Calendar. Photographer Terry Richardson, here seen snapping Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, took his lens to the tropical locale to shoot scantily clad Brazilian models Ana Beatriz Barros, Gracie Carvalho, and non-Brazilians Eniko Mihalik, Miranda Kerr, Catherine McNeil, Daisy Lowe, Lily Cole, and more. Fab Ad: Roberto Cavalli at H&M

Roberto Cavalli is synonymous with nightlife: bold animal prints, party-ready dresses and gowns, and of course, lots of glamour. When it was announced that he is doing a holiday collection for H&M, I hoped to see all three. I'm happy to say it looks like I won't be disappointed; if these ads for the collection are any clue, there will be more than enough glitz and glamour to go around - at affordable prices, too!

I'm dizzied by stripes and spots, and what a Fab gold flapper dress! The ads, shot by Terry Richardson, really embody a fun, carefree life, and they make me want to hoof it down to H&M on November 8. What about you?

Fab Ad: Christian Lacroix Fall/Winter 2007

Look at those big baby blues! That's all I can think when I see this Fall Christian Lacroix campaign, shot by Terry Richardson. Vlada Roslyakova's eyes just pop - and then after the eyes, I look at the bright blue background. Finally, my eyes focus on the clothes, which, once noticed, have some beautiful detailing going on. The brocade in the left photo is so rich, and the collar in the right photo is so lush.

But I'm not sure that's the order of focus you want for your advertising campaign - especially if you're trying to sell clothes, not blue eyes or blue backgrounds. (I guess it does tie in with the collection though as the runway show had the models against a blue background, walking on a blue floor.) What do you think - what do your eyes focus on first?

The Jimmy Choo for H&M line debuts Nov. 14 – you ready? Now that you've seen our sneak peek of Jimmy Choo for H&M, feast your eyes on the retailer's rad ads, featuring models Sasha Pivovarova and Edita Vilkevièiûtë. Shot by Terri Richardson, the hot models capture the collection's wild style, donning an array of funky, faux-leather leggings, party dresses, zebra-print clutches, studded jewels, and signature sexy Jimmy Choo stilettos. “It’s the same woman [who is the inspiration for Choo’s] fall collection. She’s rock ’n’ roll, a little punk,” said Tamara Mellon, when describing the design process. Do these ads leave you scintillated?

Which Harper's Bazaar July Cover Wins - Fashion or Celebrity?

Harper's Bazaar invented its dual-cover concept in 2001, but it's especially important today since newsstand sales have become as pertinent as advertising revenue. For its July issue, the mag is giving subscribers a fierce fashion cover shot of model Doutzen Kroes, shot by Terry Richardson. But newsstand shoppers will see a completely different cover, one that features a Getty image of Angelina Jolie taken at the LA premiere of Curious Case of Benjamin Button in December 2008. This is the first time Bazaar is using a stock image and its success rate remains to be seen.

"Our readers told us they are completely fascinated by Angelina Jolie. For us, it's about giving readers what they want, when they want it . . . for our subscribers, who desire a more fashion-forward image, we've got the next great supermodel, Doutzen Kroes. Either way, the reader wins," said a spokesperson. So tell me, which cover do you prefer - fashion or celebrity?

Fab Ad: Jimmy Choo Spring '09

Jimmy Choo's Spring '09 campaign is overflowing with sizzling, sexy footwear and accessories. Shot by Terry Richardson, Angela Lindvall dons the brand's latest array of the brand's funky stilettos and sandals. I like how the NYC cityscape gives Angela a glamorous, woman-on-the-go vibe. The selection of bold handbags and shoes - all embellished with contrast stitching, rivets, and fun textures - are pure eye candy. Not the most creative campaign but it's effective. Want more? Fab Ad: Diesel Spring/Summer '07

The Spring/Summer ad campaigns have arrived in the new issues of all our favorite fashion bibles and I wanna talk about them! I grew up drooling over fashion through memorable and provocative ads. Some fashion brands can be quickly identified by their famous ads, for example, Versace, Kenneth Cole, Gucci and Diesel. My 'Fab Ads' will serve as a round table to discuss the effectiveness, beauty and selling power of our favorite, and not so favorite, fashion advertisements.

To kick this off, here is the Spring/Summer '07 campaign for Italian denim pioneer Diesel.

While Diesel is known for showing their clothes through sexual messages, this season they decided to take the social commentary angle. Shot by Terry Richardson, the ads feature everyday scenes that have been drastically altered due to rising temperatures and seas. Global Warming is a hot topic right now and Diesel's aim was to take the serious issue and put it into the surreal world of premium denim. In this ad, parrots have replaced the pigeons of Venice's St. Mark's Square - signifying a world that's been turned upside down.
