Sep 26 2007 - 3:00am Sofia Coppola's style can best be described as unfussy, cool and classic. We are talking about one of Marc Jacob's muses here (lucky!). While one may point out she wears a lot of black, 'tis true, but so do other icons such as Kate Moss and Diana Vreeland.

Good call with Sofia! I love her style, she proves that you can be casual & comfortable and still stylish.
1I like how she always seems to appropriately dressed for each occasion. Never under-dressed but never over-dressed. It's like she can read the situation and dress accordingly.
2she has such great classic style, and a subtle elegance. i love her directorial style as well as her clothing style, you got some great pics of her!!
3Very fab. I like her with long hair.
4Love her! She has a very unique style.
5While I like Sofia and respect her, I am not sure I can ever consider her a fashion icon, at least not yet. Granted she never really looks bad, but I don’t think she ever really looks amazing either. I understand her wanting to feel comfortable, but I just feel that none of her clothes ever fit her very well; they look like sacks instead of dresses. She can tailor her clothes a bit more and still be comfortable, IMO.
6Overrated. A person can have all the talent in the world, but if they dont have the right connections they can toil for years in obscurity. Sofia is proof that the right connections can go a looooooooooooooooong way.
7I can't say I love her work, but I respect her for trying on a lot of hats and casting a wide net as far as activities and interests go.
8Don't really like Sofia's style (or much of her film work), but I do still have a Milkfed tee shirt!
9i love her.
10my idol.
i wish pop would add her to the list of celebrities so i could have her on my list of "celebs i like"
wow i was reading this post totally expecting milkfed to be completely skirted over as it almost always is nowadays when people mention anything about sofia coppola's career.
i agree with RiceGirlReese that with the right connections, some people climb up to the top easily, but i do think sofia coppola is talented. fashion-wise, though, i agree with some others that i don't think of her as a fashion icon at all. like, kersalli said, she never looks bad, but she never stuns me either. i just don't see her as high fashion.
11She's a very talented director, photographer and writer. I love her style: classic, subtle and always appropiate. Her best movie is Lost In Translation, I simply adore that one. Such a beautiful, sensitive movie.
