On Our Radar: Costume Institute Database Goes Online

The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a must-see stop in NYC. It features over 30,000 costumes and accessories from around the world. Don't plan on visiting the Big Apple anytime soon? No worries. Thanks to the Met, we can now view the Costume Institute from the comfort of our own homes at www.metmuseum.org.

The online database, which will be constantly updated, allows the public to view collections from the likes of Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, and Salvatore Ferragamo to name a few. From Europe to Africa, this exhibit has it all. Check it out.

Ever gone to a museum and caught yourself being rude because you were talking to your museum buddy too much while perusing? Fear no more. The Metropolitan Museum of Art wants to know what you think about their latest Costume Institute exhibition and they want you to share it with the whole world. They have embraced the enthralling world we know as blogging with blog.mode: addressing fashion where you can comment live from the eight computers set up in the galleries. Then, the rest of us can hear what you had to say about a black jersey Commes de Garcon dress from the debut collection of 1983 or a pair of Damien Hirst-designed polka dot ankle boots by Manolo Blahnik. Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish held hands and posed for photos at a party hosted by Calvin Klein in Seoul last night. Kate mingled with Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa and chatted with fellow actress Chloe Moretz when she wasn't sharing kisses with her date. South Korea is the latest loved-up stop for Kate and Michael. The pair visited NYC earlier this month for the Met Gala, where Kate modeled a fringed Prada minidress.

Fresh off an extensive press tour for Dark Shadows, Chloe Moretz also made the trek to Asia for the fashionable party. Chloe's currently on a break from film, but she's gearing up to start production on a remake of Steven King's Carrie. Fans of the original have voiced concerns over a Carrie reboot, though with Julianne Moore signed on to play Carrie's mother, it's shaping up to be a talented cast.

Tessa and Tyrell met as staff members at Camp Firwood in Bellingham, WA, and they tried unsuccessfully to keep the relationship from getting too serious due to all the family ties at the camp. Tessa says, "Since we both have lots of family that has worked at Firwood, our first conversation was about how we could never get married - otherwise all of the Camp Firwood staff would be related!" But just a year later, they began their two-year dating relationship. They were engaged for six months before tying the knot.

Taking place outdoors at Tessa's family's home on Lake Okanagan in British Columbia, the wedding had a beautiful, nature-filled backdrop that didn't require much in the way of decor. "We didn't really have a theme for our wedding," Tessa says. "I just wanted it to be elegant. We chose to have it in the evening and have purple, charcoal, and black as our colors. We had lots of damask pattern in the dark colors, which I think helped us achieve the classy/sophisticated look that I wanted."

Milla Jovovich Tells Us Her Cannes Highlight During a Night With Heidi, Alec, and the Hiltons

Last night was a busy one for many celebrities at Cannes. Milla Jovovich was decked out to make the rounds, starting at the Chopard and L'Oréal bash at the Hotel Martinez. She mingled at L'Oréal with fellow brand ambassadors Luisana Lopilato and model Natasha Poly. We caught a moment with Milla at the soiree, and she spoke about what her favorite part of the festival has been. Milla said, "The last two years I brought my daughter, so it's all about getting my work done and getting back to bed to sleep with my little girl. She was all day at the beach - loves it, loves it. She met a little friend here. They're best friends now - in the whole world - after one day together." Milla and her husband Paul W. S. Anderson are the proud parents of 4-year-old Ever.

The next stop on the party agenda was de Grisogono's Glam Extravaganza at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in nearby Antibes. If you couldn’t let anything cross your lips from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., but you were allowed to eat anything you wanted for eight hours a day and still lose weight, would you try it? That’s the apparent bottom line of a rat study published in the journal Cell Metabolism, which recently stirred up the weight loss pot.

Top 50 Summer Diet Foods for Weight Loss

Scientists put groups of mice on different diet regimens for 100 days. One group of rodents ate healthy food while animals in two of the groups chowed down on high-fat, high-calorie feed. Half of the junk food eaters were allowed to munch whenever they wanted to while the others only had access to feed for the eight hours they were most active. The conclusion: even though they ate a fatty diet, the mice who were forced to fast for 16 hours were almost as lean as those who ate the healthy fare. Interestingly, the round the clock junk food eaters became obese and developed health problems, even though they consumed about the same amount of fat and calories as the time-restricted junk food fed mice.

Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Matthew McConaughey met up in Cannes this afternoon to promote their film The Paperboy. The costars chatted about their project on the French TV program Le Grand Journal. Zac's face was freshly shaved after he took off from LAX yesterday with a scruffy mustache. Matthew, meanwhile, was looking handsome for his latest event following an appearance with fiancée Camila Alves at Baoli Beach Tuesday. Nicole traveled to the South of France during a break from filming her newest movie, The Railway Man, in Scotland.
