Prada Fringe Gunmetal Thong Sandal: Love It or Hate It?

I adore the gunmetal color of these Prada Fringe Gunmetal Thong Sandals, $475, but that's just about all I like about it. The fringe is utterly distracting and the fact that it's on a thong sandal makes the situation worse! Plus, thongs with heels are uncomfortable to walk in. What's your take?

Lately, it seems as if everyone is wearing thongs and swearing up and down that they really are more comfortable than non-thong panties. Made in San Francisco by Scottish designer Andrew Linton, Fife's boy shorts and thongs (or "knickers," as they're known to Brits) are made of modal, a fabric made from beechwood chips.
