Sexiness is a subjective thing. On Valentine's Day, sexy lingerie and romance is in your face. There are those that love this day, and those who loathe it. Me? I'm stuck in the middle with you. So, in honor of the lovey dovey holiday I thought I would give you a glimpse into what I think is Fab, sexy and cool. Some of these people and images are funny sexy, some dead sexy and some are simply what turns a girl on.

To kick it off, an image of Clarence and Alabama from my favorite romantic film True Romance. It's definitely not your typical romance, but sometimes Fab is not so typical . . .

(True romance!) Not only do I see a shocking resemblance to Peter Gallagher, but I have to confess we wouldn't have been able to resist either.

9 Love Lessons I've Learned In 10 Years Of Marriage

As much as we all want to believe that once we find our true love, we'll live out our lives in blissful happiness, reveling in that loving feeling forever, reality is not quite like that. We tend to think that love is something that happens to us, instead of something that comes from us. The truth is that successful relationships take energy, effort and attention from both partners.

This year, I'll be celebrating my tenth anniversary with my husband, and while that's certainly not a record-breaking accomplishment, there are a few things I've learned along the way regarding keeping a relationship healthy, or at least from falling apart at the seams. Here they are:

Touch him. As human beings we all crave being touched. It gives us that sense of being connected to others, that sense of bonding. I'm not necessarily talking about sexual touching, but things like simply touching his forearm when you're talking to him, running your fingers gently through his hair or rubbing his ears lightly when you kiss him goodbye. A little bit of touch goes a long way, and in these hurried modern times, we can all use more than we're getting.
Compliment him. We're all naturally quick to point out our partner's flaws or things they did wrong or could do better, but why is it so hard to comment on what's great about him? Once we get used to each other, the great things become expected and taken for granted. Pick three things that he does really well, and the next time you see him doing one of them, give him a nice little compliment like, "You're so good at that, thank you for taking care of that for us." If you aim to give him one compliment every day it will begin to become natural and soon you'll find yourself doing it even more often. And you'll also find his annoying habits won't seem so bad.
Keep your dirty laundry in your house. If he's done something that really bothers you, and you feel the need to complain to your friends, co-workers, or your mom, bite your tongue as hard as you can. Words spoken in one ear have a tendency to make it to other ears very quickly, and these people will think less of your guy long after you've gotten over it. Mom and Dad are particularly good at holding grudges against the guy that hurt their daughter. If you need to complain, write it down in a journal instead of voicing it, or if you absolutely have to voice it to someone, tell it to your therapist or a relationship coach.
Be a winning team. Look at life's ups and downs as something that you're both in together. If you work together as a team, always looking out for the other, you'll be able to handle whatever comes at you. Just as the various members of a team have different talents, you and your partner have unique talents, so put them to work together to create greatness.
Take him at face value. Know that he is what he is and also know that he's not going to change. Then love him for what he is. Instead of looking at his bad habits as annoying, look at them as quirky traits that make him such a loveable guy. Write down three things that you absolutely love about him on an index card and keep it in your pocket at all times. Any time he annoys you, pull out the card and read each to yourself; you won't be able to stay mad. (If you can't come up with three things that you love about him then dump him and move on. I mean, seriously.)

It's time for the Decades Dance on this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries, and while there's a different theme ('20s) from years past, there's just as much danger at this year's dance. 6 Tips to Nix Jealousy in Your Relationship

There's nothing quite like the green monster to zap the romance right out of your relationship, so do yourself a favor and ditch the jealousy. It's easier said than done, of course, but acknowledging the issue is half the battle. Worried that jealousy might wreck your relationship? Follow these tips to nix the negativity:

If you're jealous . . .

Be sure to focus on your own schedule. If you're regularly stressed about what he's doing, where he's going, or who he's seeing that probably means that you need to be busier yourself. Next time he heads out for guys' poker night, invite over your pals for a wine tasting.
Recognize where your feelings are coming from. Before you lash out or say something that you may regret, take a step back and see what the true issue is - boredom? Loneliness? Try to solve your own problems before you create a new one in your relationship. Join a class to meet new people or pick up a new hobby that makes you feel better about yourself.
Create more time for your relationship. Truth is, you may just wish that you were spending more time together. If that's the case, go ahead and pencil in a romantic date night for every work event or family day. When you amp up the romance, you'll feel more secure, so your jittery, jealous feelings can finally calm down.

If he's jealous . . .

Whatever you do, try not to get defensive right away. The more you try to fight back, the more heated he'll become. Instead, acknowledge how he feels and try to put yourself in his shoes. Chances are, he may just want to feel understood.
Try to make him feel special. If he's upset over your friendship with a co-worker or another guy, consider easing up on how much time you spend with that person. If he feels like you're growing distant, get back to the little things. Write him notes, surprise him with a date, or cook up his favorite dinner to remind him how much you care.
At the end of the day, be willing to compromise. Relationships are a two-way street, so accept the fact that you may need to make some lifestyle changes. Even if your intentions are good, if something is making him uncomfortable, you need to have an honest, sympathetic conversation to see how you can make it better.

Dear Sexes: My boyfriend and I have been expressing an interest in more sexual variety (anal sex, toys, etc.). Since I don’t have a wealth of experience, I’ve been looking forward to trying out new things with him together. That is, until he recently revealed that he has actually already done most of what we discussed with other partners - and now I unexpectedly feel uncomfortable with our different levels of experience and us not going through the "newness" together. What can I do about this?

She Said: I guess my biggest concern is whether he was hiding his past or if you two just hadn’t discussed it . . . If he was hiding it, that is a problem that you guys have to get to the root of. Make sure you know why he was dishonest and be sure he’s living true to his word in other areas of your relationship.

But if he was honest and just hadn’t told you all the details, it’s less a problem with him, and more a problem you’ve got to deal with inside yourself. I can totally understand why this new knowledge (regardless of how it came out) is throwing you off. There’s a certain sweetness in trying new things together, like walking side-by-side into a new land. I get that . . .
But the truth is, it’s all new for both of you because you’re going into it together. Keep your eye on what the purpose of sex with your boyfriend is. Is it gaining closeness, giving one another pleasure, and learning about each other? If so, then it doesn’t matter what he’s done with whom. If you’re just going for “newness” then just dive a little deeper. Ben-wa balls, vibrators (on him too!), role play, light BDSM, exhibitionism, watching porn together . . . There are amazing new avenues for you both!

He Said: There’s gotta be SOMETHING he hasn’t done! Browse together at a sex-toy shop. I’m sure you’ll find something that neither of you has tried, and interests both of you. Then you can experiment and adventure together. The world of sex and sex toys is essentially limitless - you are really only bound by your imaginations or inhibitions. If your boyfriend really has done EVERYTHING, maybe you should ask him if he has any porn credits in his filmography. Or maybe it’s best if you don’t ask him.

Seriously though, don’t be discouraged. And try not to let your boyfriend’s past experiences ruin your fun now. You’re teammates (or sex-mates) so you’re on the same team, you’re not competing against each other. Remember, it’s pretty rare and unlikely that any two people would have the exact same sexual past (unless both people were only ever with their partner). While it sounds like there’s plenty for your boyfriend to teach you in the bedroom, I’m sure there’s things you can teach him too. Everyone has a different angle on sex, romance, and intimacy. And keep looking online, in stores, (or even in the fridge) - I’m sure you’ll find something you both want to try for the first time. Happy exploring!

What We Can Learn From the Women of The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is headed for a box office victory this weekend. Women looking for more representations of strong women in pop culture can cheer for this powerful and popular story driven by a female heroine. True, The Hunger Games has a love story, but it's hardly the focus of the first book, or even the entire series. The romance takes a backseat to action and other themes, including commentary on our modern voyeuristic culture.

The heroine Katniss Everdeen is beautiful and attractive; however, the story focuses on her skill, relationship with close friends and family, and attempt to keep her humanity as she tries to fight to the death. Susan Collins's captivating story appeals to boys and girls, or men and women alike. Just because the protagonist is a young woman, the action, drama, or messages are not modified in the familiar ways. Katniss doesn't overtly pine for Gale or Peeta, and the makeover scene is downplayed in the movie. Katniss has more important things to worry about. And she's not the only female character with depth in The Hunger Games. Here are lessons (which have nothing to do with boys) that we can learn from three of the film's female characters. Reese Witherspoon Wears a Spring Skirt to Visit a Friend

Reese Witherspoon stopped by a friend's house in Brentwood, CA this afternoon. It was just her latest outing after getting up early to go hiking with another pal today. While Reese has been on the go, she's also been making headlines for her reported pregnancy. News that Reese and Jim Toth may be expecting their first child after getting married last year was reported this morning. They'll be celebrating their first wedding anniversary on Monday, but first they have Reese's 36th birthday tomorrow to fete. It's been an exciting few years in Reese and Jim's romance and if the baby news holds true, Reese's 36th year will be full of excitement as well.

PaleyFest: New Girl Cast Talks CeCe and Schmidt's Unexpected Romance and "Too Much Chemistry" Between Nick and Jess

PaleyFest was full steam ahead last night with the hilarious cast of New Girl taking the stage to discuss the first season of their runaway hit. The panel was an hour and half comedy routine filled with jokes about Max Greenfield's small nipples and interesting mole patterns, Jake Johnson's horrible dancing, and Zooey Deschanel's favorite scene to date. The cast also dished about what they hope will happen in the relationships between Cece and Schmidt as well as Jess and Nick. Here are some of the highlights:

Deschanel on how much of her character, Jess, is based on herself: "It's not really. I would say I put a lot of myself into it, but I wouldn't say it's me at all. It's filtered through my body and voice, that's certainly similar. It's more like a 13-year-old version of myself."
Schmidt's constant nudity has become an ongoing joke among the cast. Deschanel, Johnson, and even Greenfield had a good time poking fun at Greenfield's "tiny nipples" and mole covered physique. Deschanel noted, "[Max's] tiny nipples make his body look more jacked." Johnson also complimented his costar by saying, "Your pecs look huge!" Greenfield played it cool, and even made light of his noticeable chest moles by adding, "When I was a young child, my mother said, ‘You know, all those moles on your body, it’s a map of the constellations' . . . and you know what? Maybe they are."
Schmidt's way with women has resulted in some hilarious one-liners and popular scenes, but even Hannah Simone was surprised when she found out CeCe and Schmidt were hooking up. "He seduces a woman by listing cheeses! I remember I was reading [the script] and it said, CeCe and Schmidt in bed together and I thought, 'Oh my God, I had a lot of respect for Miss CeCe and now I have to rethink this whole character.'"
Greenfield had a different response to CeCe and Schmidt's new relationship status by simply stating, "It's love. The CeCe thing has really put a wrench in [Schmidt's] plans for the rest of his life. It's not every day a model shows up in the loft and says 'What's going on?' and the next day you're hooking up with her." (An audience member then yelled out "douche bag" and Max stood up and dumped the entire contents of his wallet into the douche bag jar).

Nick and Jess's romance is going to happen, but the writers are happy with what's happening right now. Creator Liz Meriweather talked about their future saying, "We love Nick and Jess together, I just think where they are as characters, it just feels like they have a lot of growing and learning and becoming closer and closer." Deschanel also commented on her chemistry with Johnson saying, "We would be put in a scene and [writers] would be like 'Too much chemistry!' It would be like a normal scene and they would be like, 'We do not want to do that!'"
The panel also revealed that future episodes will deal with Schmidt's OCD, a new drinking game the group calls "True America," and Jess's upcoming affair with "real man" Dermot Mulroney. According to Deschanel, "Dermot plays the father of a student in the class that I teach who is very sophisticated, debonair and fancy. He first engages me with banter. We start a whole thing, a little something-something over the course of some episodes. He's awesome, we love him." Jess isn't the only one who loves him as it seems: Nick falls for his charm, too. Johnson added, "Nick falls in love a little bit, I think [Dermot's] character Russell, he just sweeps Nick off his feet."
