Headgear received lukewarm praise a couple months back. But I see funky headbands and hats have caught some of your Fab Finding eyes. I for one have always liked headgear.

Keeping up with my hat kick, headgear was an interesting trend for Spring 2007. At Derek Lam (shown) graphic patterned scarves were wrapped around the head creating colorful turbans. Other designers experimented with thick, layered headbands and babushka-like concoctions.

If there's one designer whose prints put me in a tizzy, it's Mara Hoffman. And when Mara ventured into swimwear last year it made complete sense — her exotic aesthetic perfectly translates to the beach. Her show at Miami swim, where Whitney Port attended in an adorable op-art print dress, was beyond sizzling.

Jennifer Behr, best known for girlie confections on the head of Blair Waldorf, has turned to the dark side. Her next immense collection of headgear is inspired by Victorian jet jewelry. While you will find nil color, you will find texture and sparkle; duchess satin turbans, nickel hardware, grey pearls, patent leather, flat chains, and romantic belts meld together to create an elegant punk mood.

I recently talked to you about the fashion metamorphosis of Chloé, more specifically its changing head designers. Now it's my pleasure to showcase the house's ad campaign transformation from 2003 until now. Over time, Chloé has delivered murky yet polished campaigns, with top models in decidedly serious dispositions.

The Spring 2007 collection from Ralph Lauren was a real standout at New York Fashion Week. Bucking most of the season's trends, it featured menswear-inspired styles, Gatsby-esque glam, 1930s silhouettes, and several puzzling uses of turbans.
The Friday runway show was at once all over the map and yet also reminiscent of everything we've come to expect from Ralph Lauren.

Can it be that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have some fashion competition? Danielle Steel's daughters, Victoria and Vanessa Traina, are in the same social circles the Olsens are, and they have equally amazing wardrobes to match their jetsetter lifestyle. Basically, the Trainas are taller versions of the Olsens.
