Last night's White House State Dinner, hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in honor of visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, was a star-studded affair. George Clooney brought out a tuxedo for the occasion, after testifying about his experiences in Sudan and South Sudan to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee earlier in the day. Homeland star Damian Lewis arrived with his wife Helen McCrory while Sir Richard Branson also posed for photographs on his way into the event. John Legend was on hand as a performer, but also enjoyed the dinner with fiancé Chrissy Teigen, who tweeted pictures throughout the evening, including one shot of John's shirt after he spilled on himself. The other musical entertainment came from Mumford & Sons since David and Samantha are apparently fans of the British band. Angelina Jolie held onto her oldest daughters' hands as they headed into LAX this afternoon. The girls were all smiles on their way to catch a flight with Shiloh rocking a tuxedo shirt and Zahara showing off her bright blue braids. Angelina was toting a Dolce&Gabbana for the trip. Angie, Shiloh, and Zahara weren't in LA for long since they only returned to the West Coast from New Orleans yesterday. The whole Jolie-Pitt family was in NOLA over the last few days while Brad checked in on his Make It Right foundation and attended the charity's gala event alongside Angelina. Brad and Angelina weren't the only famous faces to support the cause since Ellen DeGeneres, Sean Penn, Kanye West, and Rihanna were also on hand.

Nicole Richie played host to a number of celebrity parents and their kids at a Winter Wonderland event with Baby2Baby and Huggies in LA on Saturday. Nicole didn't bring her two little ones, Harlow and Sparrow, to the bash, but Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman did pose with their son, Skyler. The stylish 7-month-old was in all gray, which made his big blue eyes stand out. Rachel didn't break out Skyler's adorable Gucci tuxedo this time, though it's going to be pretty adorable when he does get black-tie formal. Rebecca Gayheart, who is pregnant with her second baby, joined husband Eric Dane and their first daughter, Billie, while Busy Philipps got crafty with tuxedo-shirt-wearing Birdie. Cash Warren brought Honor to get her face painted while his wife, Jessica Alba, traveled back from Milan with their younger baby, Haven.

Also known as Le Smoking, the tux jacket has the power to add instant cool and the right touch of structure to an array of looks. The Stella McCartney version is the dream, and the Zara pieces are the reality, but what a sweet reality! I am craving a white and black one to wear over dresses and with my boyfriend jeans. I think I keep saying this over and over again about everything from blazers to military jackets, but it's true! A great jacket can change your wardrobe completely, and seriously goes with everything. It's a staple for any girl looking to make her wardrobe vastly more multifunctional. And frankly, I'm looking to develop a wardrobe of jackets within my wardrobe. Putting on a blazer, a tux jacket, or any structured layer will make you feel empowered, polished, cool, and confident. I promise. Just find a fit that works for you (I prefer to elongate my torso with longer, leaner boyfriend cuts) and go forth stylishly into the urban jungle.
