One color is just not interesting enough anymore. Agreed. Colorblocking is always fun, and in small doses, like on a Marc Jacobs clutch, it's even more fun. Contrasting black and white is decidedly mod, while tonal colors are downright funky. Two-tone never looked so Fab.

We've witnessed the gowns and we know the winners, so now let's take a closer look at the decadent details. Millions of dollars of jewelry are lent to the Emmys red carpet. As well, clutches are a fun way to elevate a gown. We even spotted a couple Faboo shoes last night, thanks to some higher cocktail hemlines. Teen Choice Awards: Ashley Tisdale

Something about Ashley's look really works for me. Aha! The accessories. Her two-tone shimmering corset dress is OK, it's interesting. But her spiked Loub peep toes, stacked bracelets, and mirrored clutch really add some personality. It's all about the mix these days, and Ashley's got it right. Agreed?

The Wonders of Wristlets

I've always avoided the small leather goods known as wristlets because of the somewhat silly name. But I finally road-tested (or, should I say, club-tested) one of these wallets-plus-wrist-strap during my Friday night out with the girls. Now I understand the wonders of these accessories, which are sort of like utilitarian and harder-to-lose clutches. You can hang the wallet from your wrist when you're out on the town, then just toss it in your purse for everyday use. Here are some of my favorite finds at designer and non-designer prices.

Battle of the Chanel: Olsen vs. Olsen

Here we have both of the enigmatic Olsen twins fully decked in Chanel. To me, there is a clear winner: Ashley (right). I love the peekaboo effect of being buttoned up and swimming in two-tone chains on top and showing off perfect legs on bottom. And those shoes? Fierce. As for Mary-Kate (left), she's swimming in her Chanel, not that I wouldn't mind swimming in Chanel, but you know what I mean. Oh but I love her little black-and-white spiral clutch! Which blonde twin has the most fab Chanel ensemble?
