Sneak Peek! Make Me a Supermodel Season Two Contestants

If you didn't vote for season two's Make Me a Supermodel contestants, then you can't complain about the chosen 16. Karen and Ken were the lucky ones who made the cut. From the looks of it, no one from this bunch is supermodel material as of yet. But I've seen the magic this show can work - they did it last season - so I'm not worried. Below, meet Chris, Salome, and, of course, hottie host, Tyson Beckford. This round's judges include Catherine Malandrino and old Calvin Klein model Jenny Shimizu. I'm excited for the season premiere on March 4 on Bravo. Are you?

FABTV: Britney Spears "Toxic"

I know I'm not the only girl who fantasizes about kicking ass. To give Britney some love, and pay homage to her glory days (there's still time Britney!), here is a thrilling video that makes me want to kick some ass! Her morphing from vixen to vixen reminds me of what I always loved about the TV show "Alias" - the thrill of a secret identity, and, kicking some ass! Her Jeremy Scott-esque turquoise airplane stewardess outfit is my fave; way to get into the mile high club Britney! Then there's the flame haired vixen on the back of Tyson Beckford's bike (bitch). Another favorite part is when she's slithering up the side of a building, and the hottie whom she intoxicates the next minute. Kick ass.

Fashion Week Live in SF And Fab Was There!

As you all know I attended Fashion Week Live last night. It was a blast! While the runway show was the main thrill, the pre-party and goodie bag were added bonuses. I am waiting for more pictures from the event but wanted to share some highlights with you. Also, a big thank you to Sephora for my golden ticket!

Some highlights were:

Two of the gorgeous peeps in this picture! Naomi was graceful, yet powerful, on the catwalk and Tyson, well, just look at him. These two were the crowd favorites too, with welcoming claps from the audience.
The show lasted about an hour, and was divided by themes. My favorite theme was evening! The most stunning gowns were by Zac Posen and Donna Karan.
My favorite daytime looks were by local designer Peter Som; my lip reading skills picked up Vanessa Getty whispering "I like that" to a friend about a gray ruffle asymmetrical dress by him. Also, notable, were the Marc Jacobs pieces that were surprisingly more sultry in the flesh!

Fab Flash: Diversity Is Still an Issue on the Runway

Strike while the iron's hot. That's exactly what model veteran Bethann Hardison has done in "Race on the Runway", a discussion of the ongoing epidemic of a seemingly all-white runway. Though New York Fashion Week showed a great improvement of diversity from designers, the issue still remains a huge concern in the industry.

"I think we should feel really good about the changes we have seen," said Hardison, who credited André Leon Talley and Naomi Campbell for motivating her to take action.

Attendees such as Rachel Roy, Tyson Beckford, and modeling and casting agents listened as Hardison suggested that modeling agents seek out African-American models, have designers be more involved with fashion models and booking African-American models for ad campaigns. And while criticizing Vera Wang and Badgley Mischka for their non-African-American casting, she praised Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta for their diverse choices. Issues regarding the lack of black models coming from the agencies and low pay were also raised.

Hopefully, this discussion will be one of many in the ongoing fight for diversity on the runway, and in the words of designer Michael Vollbracht, "I hate this forum because it shouldn't even be an issue."

It's Raining Men! Make Me a Supermodel's Hot Boys

It's currently Men's Fashion Week in Europe, so I've got hunky male models on my brain. Further satiating my appetite are the sizzling male contestants on Bravo's show Make Me a Supermodel. Even if you've merely glanced at the tube while the show was on, you know that the aspiring male models have so much more potential than their female counterparts. Some of them even put host Tyson Beckford to shame.

These boys are going places; they have the bodies of Greek gods and faces that are unearthly. Three in particular stand out for me: Perry (left), Frankie (center), and Casey (right). Not only are they easy on the eyes, but they pose and pout as if it's been their job since exiting the womb. And have you seen them work the catwalk?
