UPDATE: Sadly, Emma Watson reps have shut down any rumors of Watson designing a clothing line. I guess it was too good to be true . . .

Burberry hottie, Emma Watson, is rumored to be adding celebrity designer to her hefty resume. Word has it the actress is "getting advice from her fashion designer pals" on a clothing collection that will donate proceeds to children's charity fund, UNICEF. There's no doubt the budding stylista has an immaculate sense of style, but can that be translated into a clothing line? We'll let you be the judge.

How much fun it must be to wear the designer's pick to a charity event benefiting a great cause like UNICEF. While the hostess, Rihanna, brought the mostess, a few other lovelies donned Gucci garb. Becki and Blake both wore looks from Gucci's dark, folksy Fall collection, and while the two have similar studded and embroidered embellishments, the silhouettes are vastly different. It comes down to your taste. Who wins?

Rihanna has been fulfilling her duties as the Gucci/UNICEF spokeswoman and she has been doing so in super style. Last night she, along with Madonna (in label love Louis Vuitton) and Blake Lively, showed their support at the lighting of UNICEF's snowflake in New York. Rihanna is a great fit for the brand - bold, strong, sensual. She wore two Gucci frocks throughout the evening, but I loved her black Gucci coat (and gloves) so I had to throw it into the mix. Fab Flash: Rihanna and Gucci Unite For UNICEF

Gucci and Rihanna love children. In collaboration with the United Nation's Children's Fund, UNICEF, Gucci has enlisted music sensation Rihanna to spearhead the label's first ad campaign with the nonprofit organization.

"I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign" said Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini.

Dubbed, "Tattoo Heart," the ads will feature Rihanna donning Gucci's special-edition products all incorporating a tattoo-style heart designed for UNICEF. "We've come a long way from Miss Bisou to Gucci," said the 20-year-old singer. "It's an honor to represent Gucci."

Keep your eyes peeled for the first round of ads set to debut in December magazines. Twenty-five percent of sales will be donated to the UNICEF organization.

Note: Rihanna also talked about adding clothing design to her repertoire stating,"I love fashion, so it's only natural for me to want to create my own line." We'll keep you posted on that one.

On Our Radar: Madonna and Gucci Team Up

Madonna and Gucci have joined forces but the headline doesn't go something like "Gucci dresses Madonna for a chi-chi event." Both are hosting a fund-raising event on February 6 to raise money for orphans in Malawi. Specifically, proceeds will go to UNICEF and Raising Malawi, a charity the singer co-founded in 2006.

What's more, the event will celebrate the opening of Gucci's largest store in the world on New York's Fifth Avenue. Go Madge and Gucci - way to use your power for the greater good.

Fab Flash: Gucci Ups Its UNICEF Holiday Campaign

Every year, Gucci prepares a UNICEF holiday campaign, but this year, the company is increasing its efforts. First, it raised its contribution to UNICEF by 5 percent; consequently, 25 percent of the revenues from the sale of seasonal gifts will go to helping the organization.

Another addition is a special edition Gucci for UNICEF bag, which is the traditional Indy canvas bag with a special rosette design. The small version costs $1,990, while the big one is $2,350. Emma Watson to Design a Charitable Line

There were rumors circling in June that Emma Watson was to become a charitable fashion designer for UNICEF. Sadly those rumors were shot down, but it appears they weren't too far off-the-mark. Announced today, Emma Watson will be creating a capsule collection for People Tree, which will launch in February 2010.

Emma says of the collaboration: "I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with."

As for the line, it will consist of jersey t-shirts, dresses, woven skirts, trousers, shorts, and knitwear for both men and women. The collection will also include embroidered bed throws (are you listening Casa?), amongst other accessories. All of the products will use 100 percent organic and fair-trade cotton and will be made entirely by hand by fair-trade artisans.

It sounds like beyond a pretty face, Emma's got a good head on her shoulders. Are you excited to see Emma's designs?
