January is arguably one of the toughest months of the year. The holidays have fizzled, wallets are depleted, and attitudes are shaky. When I viewed this editorial in Visonaire's Spring Preview 2009, it was a momentary escape. I love when editorials mix media and Nick Knight is indeed a mixmaster. On Our Radar: Marc Jacobs for Visionaire

Marc Jacobs fans will for sure be all over his latest project like white on rice. Mister Marc guest-edited the latest edition of Visionaire, the fashion-forward quarterly collector's book that is legendary among insiders.

Together with fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Marc produced a series of portraits of contemporary icons, including Drew Barrymore, Selma Blair, Lil' Kim, Scarlett Johansson, supermodel Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bundchen, and designers Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney. The pictures are featured in the 192-page 52nd installment, which bows October 1 for $375.

The price may seem steep, but the book comes in a limited-edition Louis Vuitton gold Monogram Miroir case, which sounds pretty rad...

Chloë Sevigny - who just revealed her dream footwear collaboration - attended a Calvin Klein Collection and Visionaire party in NYC looking cool per usual. The actress has made it very clear that she adores the house of Chloe. Last night, she wore a white scalloped Chloe blazer and balanced the boxiness with super short denim cutoffs. What I love about Chloë is that she knows the power of her gorgeous gams and creates outfits to showcase them. Brilliant.

Fab Ad: Gap Fall '08

I will always love the Gap. I mean, cotton basics? Cozy knits? Preppy staples? Oh, and I love their lip balm. Change is already underway at the company, with Patrick Robinson as head designer under the gun. This Fall campaign, shot by Mikael Jansson, is quintessential Gap - black and white, laid-back poses, American inspired. But the cast and the styling are fresh.
The idea behind the campaign is to “Create Your Own GAP” by mixing and matching classic pieces to create an outfit all your own. The celebrities and models are styled to suit their personal tastes, and the list is vast: Liv Tyler, Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, Fabcon Clemence Poesy (pictured here), Ginnifer Goodwin, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Schuman (of The Sartorialist), Cecilia Dean (cofounder and editor, Visionaire), models Chanel Iman and Lily Donaldson, and more. This exhibits a cooler, more undone Gap with a focus on fashionable, functional garb. Are you impressed?

On Our Radar: Gap Announces Fall Campaign Lineup, Including Liv Tyler

Gap has long been known for choosing an eclectic mix of well-known A-listers and up-and-comers to star in their advertising campaigns. I already informed you about Ginnifer Goodwin's involvement in the upcoming Fall campaign, but the list goes on and on.

Actors Liv Tyler (who has modeled for the brand before, left), Hugh Dancy, Fabcon Clemence Poesy, Catalina Moreno, Edgar Ramirez, and photographers Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) and Ryan McGinley are also featured in the ads, which will launch this Summer.
Rounding out the list are Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, Fab Face Chanel Iman, screenwriter David Benioff, Visionaire founder Cecilia Dean, and Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark.
