The Hollywood Awards Gala, the first event of award season, summoned a star-studded cast in LA last night. Charlize Theron, Zooey Deschanel, Diane Kruger, Julianne Moore, and Kate Beckinsale all livened up the red carpet with their chic ensembles. Charlize and Kate opted for slimming black, Diane looked angelic in white, and Zooey and Julianne coated themselves in color. Take a good look and decide who's most Fab.

As of late, actress Zooey Deschanel has been getting shady with Oliver Peoples. The cutie has teamed up with the popular sunglasses brand to create a retro-style sunglass ($415). It comes in five colors (Zooey is modeling the black with gray below) and can be made into optical eyewear if you please.
The glasses - which resemble Ray-Ban Wayfarers - are cool, but I'm more smitten by the napkin cleaning cloth with a red kiss in the shape of Zooey's lips. Zooey Deschanel was a hot lady in red last night at the LA premiere of her new miniseries, Tin Man. The actress is usually non-mainstream in her fashion decisions, so it's fun to see her delving into sexy territories with her plunging red Zac Posen dress and Daniel Swarovski clutch. The burgundy pumps aren't my favorite, so I put her in something more dazzling.

Fabarazzi! Zooey Deschanel Look-A-Like!

Here's a special Fashion Week Fabarazzi!

I just got back from the Erin Fetherston show and spotted an adorable Zooey Deschanel look alike, (which thanks to one of our readers has been identified as Katy Perry). Her pretty in pink outfit certainly stood out in the front row. She looks like she just stepped out of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? with her bright pink getup and fabulous little hat. The green shoes are a unique touch and her see-through studded bag is cool. Is that an iPhone in there Geek?

How Would YOU Wear It? Zooey Deschanel

I think indie darling Zooey Deschanel is adorable, but sometimes she kills it with the opaque tights. No matter what time of day it is, or what the weather is like, Zooey seems to want to cover her limbs.

Now, I personally really like the opaque tights look, but not when it's nearly 100 degrees out! Zooey shouldn't have worn them at this event especially, considering the fact that it was for a premiere for a movie called Surf's Up! Not only does she not look surfer-ish, she looks like she's ready to face Winter.

I would have worn the white shirtdress because it's so current and reminiscent of the Gap Design Edition. I would have definitely ditched the black tights and pumps and would have worn some cute, colorful sandals. How would YOU wear it?

I really want to like this silver belted sheath that Zooey is wearing because I think it's a really cute shape and looks great on her body. However, the fabric is way too spacesuit-esque for me. What do you think?

All these extravagant red carpet affairs have me dreaming about fancy accessories. Wouldn't this Vintage Black Mesh Chain Purse look amazing on the arm of vintage-loving Zooey Deschanel or Rachel Bilson? I like that it's antique and modern at the same time. You can wear it as a shoulder bag, a clutch, or crossbody - it looks good all ways.

Fabcon: Katy Perry

Katy Perry may be one of the most buzzed about newcomer singers right now, but it's her colorful clothes that have got the fashion world tuning in. She's at almost every fashion fête and was also invited to the Chanel boutique opening I attended. She's even been on the cover of my go-to fashion news source, Women's Wear Daily. After seeing the singer in her clothes in the WWD shoot, Betsey Johnson provided her various dresses for Fall New York Fashion Week.

If I had to compare her style to someone we know it would be Dita Von Teese (though she looks more like Zooey Deschanel). Only, the pinup girl look, though she has it down pat, is not all she's about. Katy is never afraid to experiment with bright colors, and she's open to looking ultra girlie one time and then completely cheeky the other. From rompers to sequin dresses, ruffles to short shorts, this risk taker has tried everything at least once. I'm definitely keeping tabs on what she'll wear next on stage and on the red carpet.
