Not all expecting mamas are willing to surrender their closet to A Pea in the Pod. Fashion forward ladies can decorate themselves and their bump with American Apparel's edgy and funky maternity clothes — even if the brand is simply labeling belly friendly clothes already in production as "maternity." Regardless, one mama-to-be's dream may be another's worst nightmare.

No doubt, the King of Pop (RIP) will be a popular choice for Halloween this year. Who doesn't want to emulate such saucy style and cool character? Channeling your inner Micheal Jackson requires androgynous dressing: a white tee, loose cropped trousers, a drummer jacket — local thrift stores are filled with treasures from this era.

Most people hate the rain, but not sosupersam. The LA cutie welcomed the inclement weather in a stylish, splash-proof outfit. The green anorak is beyond rad and I fancy her cozy, oversized tube scarf.

Who can forget Jennifer Beals's sexy moves in '80s cult classic Flashdance — remember that water scene? Sizzle. She alone might have been responsible for the flurry of females dashing to get themselves an oversize sweatshirt and leggings — I know I sure did.

Whimsical, playful, comical, eccentric — all ways to describe giving into fanciful notions. Polka dots, bows, sequins, animals, and ruffles are all ways to amuse yourself. I have been in a whimsical fashion mood lately — perhaps Louis Vuitton's bunny ears, coupled with Mary-Kate and Ashley's lace ears, spawned it.

We have long admired Rihanna's distinct style. We've featured her since she broke out onto the scene — she has since become an icon and an avid fashion show front-rower. One of my coolest New York Fashion Week celeb sightings was Rihanna, at Fashion's Night Out.

Nicole Richie is back, with a fashion vengeance. Not that she ever left, really. Leave it to Nicole to bust out bubble shorts just weeks after having her second babe.

American Apparel is not a brand that shies away from controversy. There have been bottomless tights (and I don't mean footless) and endless revealing ad campaigns, but now it has been announced that the store has gone one step too far resulting in the banning of one of their ads. The UK advertising watchdog has blocked a campaign which it deemed inappropriate as it appeared to feature an under-16 year old girl in a series of images that implied she was "stripping off for an amateur-style photo shoot".

Naturegraffiti caught the perfect burst of light in this photo. Notice how the soft tones reflect off her sequin embellished blazer in the most editorial manner. My favorite thing about her 'fit?
